they have no idea because it was fixed by ppl from amcorp NCC (we sent and collected the unit to/at NCC SS15, subang jaya)

The reason is the Ss15 Nokia care is in the process be taken over by Mobile Technic aka Amcorp Nokia Care. So at the moment they dont repair any phone at SS15 they will send your phone to the Amcorp outlet.

So is highly recommended to send to Amcorp Nokia Care. Mine suddenly cant detect simcard. No matter what sim you put it cant work. At the Nokia Care they said the same thing could be my sim card issue. I took two nokia N9 to show them switch immediately the same simcard one work one doesnt.

So they said need to troubleshoot on wednesday and today they called me informing me that my motherboard spoil. I was like simcard cant detect can be so serious as motherboard spoil then she said can be ready by tomorrow for collection.

Small matter should be able to solve on the same day, even within 1 hour.

Before these service centre go "professional" base, things were much simpler and direct; You can usually get back your phone on the same day, within few hours depending what's the problem. But after they "upgrade" and went profesional, it become more levels of checking and more procedures. This in turn, is bad for customer, sometimes a simple thing, also need approval. Then certain things, maybe require more level of approval, procedures, etc. The same applies for others, e.g. car "professional" workshops.

The issue is availabity of spare parts as well. Like the nokia N9 usb cover replacement they said need take 2 weeks to order that part and it cost RM35+++ to replace a piece of plastic

Procedure and system are very important. Example you let Ah beng to fix your phone how do you know whether he have the right technical expertist or knowledge to fix your phone.

Thats why if you see AP phones there numerous people complaint about sending their phone to repair A then come out A fixed but B issue arised.

For my experiences in nokia care sunway pyramid they took longest a day or two to fixed it but after they moved to ss15 thats where things start to go haywire.

For my 2nd experience in Nokia Care amcorp i am also impress took only 2 days fixed my problem and they keep calling me informing my phone is ready for collection compare to last time you need to chase them.

Heh, who am I kidding? I'm too much of a geek to leave this phone alone.

TS, please add me as a user for Nokia N9 64GB Black color please icon_rolleyes.gif

Funny enough, the first thing I did after I got the phone was enabling the developer mode. So much joy in having a terminal in my phone, eventhough not using for now, except for some simple commands. Kinda nostalgic, considering I haven't carrying my N810 around as frequent as before. And screw jailbrake and rooting, I can have root thru devel-su!

My take? So far, I'm loving this to death! Except this one issue when bluetooth and wifi switched on at the same time, the wifi will have severely reduced speed. Lurking in the bugtracker confirms that this is a bug sad.gif

But hey, Swipe is addictive as hell! laugh.gif

Their concept is different even both focus the same aka simplicity. Both Nokia n9 and Nokia Lumia 800 is both fluid and no lag .

One thing is for sure: When you use the Lumia 800, you'll be double tapping and swiping  tongue.gif  biggrin.gif

spotted SHIFU aspire double tapping and no response during the launching, hehehehehehe.  tongue.gif
Android/Symbian = complicated, flexible, customizable.
iOS = simple, smooth, reliable, full of restrictions and limitations.

MeeGo is between simplicity and power/flexibility. So, to me, it's like hybrid.

Windows Phone? It's in the same category as iOS. It's simple, smooth, reliable and full of restrictions and limitations.... BUT, it has a homescreen and it has social networks integration like Maemo/Meego, the People Hub. And more to come. So... in other words, it's a BETTER iPhone. Right now, it's only lacking in Apps and Games, but it's coming.

Haha too used to swipe and tap lol and somemore look exactly like my n9

depends on how you wanna define it and iOS is been around since like many years ago. WP7 just started because they totally rewrite everything.

If you wanna said widget iOS do not have one, and back then no notification, no multi tasking and etc.
Like you said depends on an individual like for me my next phone wont be iOS its bloody boring after so many years nothing to play anymore. Thats where WP7 comes out as something fresh and new. The best thing they have is the social integration.

Not everyone buy phone they will jailbreak. If you read the IOS forum section there some even have owner list of apps or games they buy. Even Nokia N9 homescreen its not usable for widgets only show notification with time and date.

Give WP7 sometime and you will see how it will turn up. Remember back then iOS nobody use then android as well but look today

thats just my opinion. Some ppl just want a phone to keep them connected and sharing.

not really. I more into camera than phones. For me i not interested in android and i am alright with iOS. So for me i just want the simplicity of social networking integration and tile screen for updates. Thats me planning to upgrade my camera to FF thats where my money will go happy.gif

The virtual qwerty keyboard on Wp7 seems better than SGS II alot.
