QUOTE(Moutzu @ Dec 21 2011, 10:15 PM) O-I-C. Well, I'll just give it a try and hope for the best. Tq for the suggestion. Guess you know what? After I posted above post and was thinking of trying to gently shake my MBP, I took a peep at the DVD slot and to my surprise, I saw the mini disc ejected slightly out!. I took hold of a pincer and gently pull out the mini disc and voila, i manage to retrieve it out from the DVD slot. I guess I must be one hell of a lucky guy! The disc should come out when you gently shake the MBP because it's not read/hold by the DVD.. Anyway, luckily you can take out.. if not,

Am now a happy from once-a-macbook pro 13"-user-since-2010 switched recently to a macbook pro 15" 2.4GHz 2011. :3
Tested out an Adobe After Effects app. & it turns out too good to be true! Really happy with the performance. But still not enough, need to upgrade to 8GB of RAM.
Got it by trading with a really high price & in return got it a bit cheap for the 15". Thanks for the handsome guy.
My next wish list is: Moshi Codex 15" ( Coz i prefer a sleeve/case that doesn't need to remove or take out our mbp ) 8GB of RAM

ive owned a macbook pro for 1 year and found that when tilting or gently shaking or moving it while its on produces a clicking sound from it. i am curious whether its some form of protective mechanism to secure the harddrive since its not the ssd type. its working well otherwise. thanks fellow gurus.

i usually have a strict rules to never moves a laptop or an external hdd while running. to prevent a hdd to die early.
i don't know if it's a myth or not.
in logic, a hdd usually run like a fan or a motor which twirls(?) .
any expert do enlighten me, thanks.

Nothing is wrong with your mbp, that click sounds as you've found out, a mechanism to protect your hd. MBP has motion sensor which will park your hd when it senses that you do a sudden movement.
