- Asuna asked Yui to hack into the JSDF database for her to get in. Met up with Kayaba's lover who informs her what happened to Kazuto

- JSDF created Flunctuating Light, which copies a person soul and use it to make a self evolving AI which can be used for military purposes. This is the reason why they let the SAO players try to escape from the game themselves, and never helped them from the outside in Volume 1 as the SAO and Kayaba incident was the basis of  this project. Basically the whole incident was a test subject for them. It's like what Suguo wanted to do in volume 3, but in by far more larger scale.

- JSDF hit a wall with the AI as they are too governed by the laws imposed to them. They needed a catalyst for the AI to start questioning the law, and hence Kirito.

- Basically after volume 9 Kirito was in a comatose state as his brain was damaged due to long lack of oxygen exposure. Fluctuating Light would make his recovery faster.

- The Seed world, the world where all the AIs are can be accelerated, where 8 years there can be simulated in just 1 week. But it was toned down as 2 years only passed in there for Kirito where it was 1 week for Asuna on the outside

- Kirito is still finding out how to get out of there, missing Asuna, but also admitting he would also miss the AI friends that me met in the Seed world if he does get out

He has a unique skill called <Dual Blades> which allows him to dual wield two swords and use Swords Skills. He found it in his skills list after a year in the game. After nearly mastering it, he only uses it in emergencies to avoid attention for being one of the two people known to have unique skills.
