Hyper Threading should be on by default, rarely got option to disable it..

Try kill the quick launch from task manager, then try the keys on keyboard..

Its not meant to fight a real mouse,
Its an alternative to the synaptics driver.
Envy touchpad give smoother inertia, while the default synaptics driver gives pixel by pixel scrolling but no inertia..
