If you opt for fully syn. Do try SR-1.
Or you can consider LM MOS2 for semi biggrin.gif

I believe SL is more than sufficient for any car in Malaysia market now.
If you're concern about the API, can consider those Petrol brand engine oil.

Afraid TR5 might be a "snake" oil. Definately not going back for it anymore.

Not more than 300? You have so many options. Go search in the automotive garages as there's so many to list.

QUOTE
First of all, thank you very much for your patronage. We also appreciate your concern and your email.

Torco TR-5 product line has been first induced in China in SAE 5w40 (for colder weather) with a very great result. The Torco SR-5 has been praised by our Chinese customers with better quality and protection that it gives more than other imported and local products of the same level. Torco has introduced TR-5 to Malaysian market with SAE 10w30 and 10w40 for its warmer climate. All of Torco TR-5 products are produced in California, U.S.A. by Torco. Torco will continue to offer TR-5 products to more countries before we have it listed on Torco website since Torco does not want emphasized on none racing products.

Any other questions that you may have please feel free to contact us anytime. Again we really appreciate your continue support of Torco products.

Thank you and best regards,

Ned Tanson

hope this will answer most of the question regarding the why the TR-5 is not on Torco's US website.
