Last weekend I was approached by card agent, he told me something that sounded too good to be true.

He said that the current promotion for their 'Platinum' level cards, though not on paper, are eligible for PPL access with just 3 overseas swipes and you will be entitled for unlimited access to PPL within the year. Yes, 3 overseas swipes for one year access!

When I question him how come the premier cards have to swipe 3 overseas transaction to qualify 1 free access, he said that this is the current promotion, but not sure the bank will change it later.

I left with doubts.

last time the agent recommend to pay 10 sen less.

I have waited 2 weeks and the status is still 'In Progress' since last week.

I am not that lucky.

I was verified a week ago. Called to check on status = 'Being Processed'.

I finally got a call from AmBank last night.

An officer from HQ called from mobile (why not office number?) and told me the reason for held up was due to the agent forgot to fill in the staff info column in the form. Thus causing the delay.

I ended up have to use my own resource to close the gap between Ambank and the agent so that the agent will not lose out his commission should my card is approved.

Will see how it goes.
