adding a fan would reduce the temps by 5-10'C. 47'C is quite hot. my samsung used to run at 50'C, after add cooling fan now at 40'C.

lol maxtor is under seagate. and nobody ever mentions ''maxtor'' in the same sentence as ''best"

using seagate 250gb sata2. bloody noisy, makes chirping sound. two months old. and occasionally there is a SMART error. spin retry count error. comes and goes. not sure if i should send for rma or not.
