nowadays i dont trust 100% optical media. bought cap ayam dvd-r (they were expensive at that time), out of 50 almost half got problem........

i know. now ma fan want to buy dvd-r edi. haha. wait til my hdds all full b4 getting dvds. or a bigger hdd.

it seems samsung average temps are 40'c.... add fan oso like that, so i guess its normal. maxtors run cooler, at 30'c

WD good performance. but newer ones got some reliability issues. not as trusted compared to b4 this.

must check the failure rate. how many %. worst is still maxtor i think. forgot where the link is. just pray that it wont die.

my maxtors work fine too! one was 3 years old, a 40gb, another was 80gb, currently using, 2 years edi. maxtors are quite cool. compared to samsung. but i touch my samsung doesnt feel hot. maybe the temp probe different place.

i didnt choose samsung. was given one. no complants though. follow ur heart when buying. haha. and pray it doesnt die after warranty

if like that dont shut down the pc la. its dangerous. haha. my pc table damn rickety, it shakes when i move my mouse. hope my hdds wont spoil

maybe if u dont turn off ur hdd it will have a longer lifespan. if turn off wrongly can kill a hdd, why turn it off? haha
