actually the 5 years warranty from seagate not much different from others tat provide 3 years....
for seagate, the first 3 years u could send back to the place where u bought to get warranty but the rest of the 2 years u hav to send back to seagate urself or through ur seller wif some charges....

my old harddisk spoiled edi.. cant detect it..
try to format but at the end still the same..
getting a new hdd rite..
heard tat western digitat not bad huh.. ?
or maxtor?
planning go for higher capacity like 160GB or 200GB edi..

i think this nowaday WD hdd is ok...
i stop using WD already and use Hitachi...
so far no problem, and it seem very solid... hmm.gif

emm.. i jz checked Seagate 250GB - 16MB...
while maxtor n wd still 8MB with same capacity..
maybe i will go for seagate.. biggrin.gif

the good things for Seagate is warranty...
the address were printed out clearly and easy to send back,
not sure witht he RMA service there, haven't try before...
i am not sure for Hitachi...
where is the RMA location ah??!!! rclxub.gif

u could try a software called HDD Regenerator...i installed but never use it b4....
heard tat it healed quite a lot of spoiled hdd from the reviews of users....

hitachi not bad, better price, not much problem caused....
about the RMA, u could call their support center at this number 1800-80-6016 for help....
but most probably u send back to ur seller should be ok...but may not tat efficient....

but i think i dun have any important things inside tat hdd..
sigh.. but abit sien lo.. have to spend money again..
hitachi.. ya normally i will send back to the seller only..
but ofcz i have to wait for sometimes they claim it.. biggrin.gif

Cannot ler, people nowadays using 120GB. sweat.gif

Buying a 4GB thumbdrive around RM100+, they might as well buy the portable disk 120GB. sweat.gif

Big capacity but not belly convenient. tongue.gif

I am planning to buy HD next month.I am thinking of Seagate because of 5 years of warranty.Do anyone know the RMA location?To other Seagate user how does the HD perform?Any spoiled HD within 1 year?
