From what I see, D16 is quite common for sale in the market (for those not yet converted their engines). So for this D series, I checked the Wikipedia which is around 110hp only, just like ordinary 1.6 car. Is this engine recommended to get a VTEC version or non-VTEC version? Big difference between the two versions?

Havent solved the steering sound.... monday the foreman was on leave..
today i went there... but the sound was gone.... but he told me to bring it back when it got sound so that he can detect what or where the problem is....
my D15 can go 140 easily... but if push more than that the engine light comes out
city also using a SOHC vtec.... but more responsive and fuel saving than mine...
I havent tried vios yet...

hey all Civic owners and lovers,

i need some advise and of course ideas if any.

so here's the thing. i'm planning to get a 2007 Civic 1.8 for RM80k (mileage 50k+). interior super duper clean n flawless. only thing is outside have few scratches and dents. i'm ok with those la as long if its just scratches but those dents if from accident so i'm not really sure advisable anot.

so my concerns are this;
i) how much does servicing cost? (black oil etc etc)
ii) major servicing cost?
iii) so far any issues from u guys or ppl u know with the 1.8 model?

about servicing..u guys still go back to Honda SC or outside workshop? which do u reckon? i'm sure in terms of prices, outside workshop cheaper but since its a 5 years car, i think the warranty no more already right? so better do it outside? whats the cost of servicing? pls advise!

eg6 is the most expensive among eg line up.. if you wan comes with b18cr in good condition be ready to fork out RM43,000 in cash. but not worth it. to me Vtec is the most overrated engine ever. it doesn't as power as people subcribed. and i would never buy a car more than 15years, eg6 is already 20years car, imagine when people start selling, you start buy.. but when the time you wan to sell, it already become scrap metal.
