QUOTE(sadako-chan @ Jun 3 2013, 06:42 AM) Nope, but I suspect your compressor jammed or the a/c clutch is problematic. sorry man...dunno of anyone using tonnka for their hondas....normal la..most honda fellers sure wanna use some branded one..tonnka all oso dun wanna use....Long time never visit guys, but I have problem here. I saw Tonnka header, one shop here kept old stock. I like the build quality, but I don't like the stepping he put on the header. The welds are damn cun, no complains, but I'm worried about performance and fitment. Google and searching zth, THERE ARE ZERO PICTURES of the header being installed in a honda, SR20, 4G got lah. Thinking to buy, but the lack of dyno result and overall even photoes of it being installed worries me. Changing out my mugen header because it's finally starting to crack at the merge collector. (okaylah already used 8 years plus already) Also, the tonnka header is on par with s2 alpha price, but I think it's a custom tonka design because it doesn't fit any real headers I know of. But didn't look to closely, probably will go check it out again tommorow. Madman, you know anyone using it with good results? I know the drag header is damn nice and got performance, but this one is the street tri Y header. Hopefully before afternoon la. but personally, id say go for it. tonnka typically makes good stuff. but if still not confident, go for skunk2 alpha since pricing very similar...at least thats proven. if ur willing to be guinea pig then by all means go ahead la... do update on which way u went n the results. or can just weld the cracks |

when installing CF or fiber hood... hood pins are basically a must.... get those aerocatch pins for a neater look.
if u dont intend to install the pins.....dont bother installing cf/fiber hoods....ur not only endangering urself... but other road users as well when they fly open at high speeds. FYI, CF/fiber hoods are illegal... so good luck with JPJ if they find out. |

QUOTE(zenix @ Jun 18 2013, 11:28 AM) iinm most of the ones being sold here are low quality CF ontop of a fibre base. when u see a big piece of paper/plastic flying at u while ur travelling at 100km/h will u avoid it or will u just go straight n bang it?not very rigid but very light. if it breaks away at highspeed it will most likely break instead of cutting through cars like a knife. if wanna avoid JPJ/PDRM kacau its best on a black color car. my old black car had a fibrehood for a long time before sold, nobody disturb. |

QUOTE(sadako-chan @ Jun 18 2013, 01:54 PM) chasebays, skunk2 arrived. still waiting on a few other stuff. wats the weight on the fidanza? and why no toda or spoon or other locally available flywheels?Alabama to Malaysia is far. normal freight takes almost a month. Quality wise skunk2 as usual. chasebays.. a bit rough, but usable. Now fidanza flywheel and tucked radiator left. ur pairing it with what clutch? |

QUOTE(sadako-chan @ Jun 18 2013, 02:06 PM) 7lbs, less than 4kg. pairing it with my exedy organic. should not be too bad with quads. itbs slow down the rev drop due to its characteristics so i am going to see if it works or not. iirc the exedy flywheels r oso slightly above 1k newnot going JDM because price. The fidanza costs a bit above 1k new. used can get toda or spoon flywheels paired with exedy stage 1 clutches for abt rm750 |

QUOTE(sadako-chan @ Jun 19 2013, 12:45 PM) also future proofing. replaceable friction plate. replaceable friction plate? damn... ive heard of fidanza... but never knew they had that... never knew ANY flywheel had that no used flywheels for me, I'm going new. I just blew a few hundred swapping out a used mugen flywheel that wouldn't give good bite for my organic. at partial declutch, it just slips endlessly. now back on the old R. It slips, but not too badly. I am not sure if its a clutch problem or the flywheel problem. at certain pedal pressure, the organic would just slip. just like racing clutch. But the thing is, this is not the first time i use organics. it doesn't feel like the current setup i am using now. Right now have to use it like racing clutch. want to release, have to throttle a bit. tried re-surfacing the mugen flywheel? |

as for exhaust shop... id recommend UnderSix exhaust... nearby everco... have seen some of their work... pretty good... they even recently fixed my low hanging center bullet issue... no more scraping speedbumps
they also fabricate a few other things... first time i went there they were making a seat bracket/rail for a recaro SPG in an FD2-R a friend of mine recommended me this shop and hes done a number of fabrications with them... including an undertray for his FD2-R |

QUOTE(sadako-chan @ Jun 19 2013, 01:45 PM) co incidentally yes, installed the mugen because it was resurfaced. changing all this bit by bit must be getting expensive.... should have just gone with a brand new ogura and get everything done 1 shot hahahahhahahathis flywheel has got to be the culprit. last time thought it was loose clutch cover changed, nope then clutch pump & release fork was clutch pump, lowered the engagement point, but still no like it used to. everything connected already changed, except the flywheel so hope the new fidanza solves it know of any solutions of the clutch pump pecah issue with racing clutches? havent found any... currently using jasma clutch pump... seems to be holding up well enough with my exedy 4puck.... ex-owners used it with ogura for awhile n no issues oso. im actually quite curious about the DnD twin plate clutch... avantech using it successfully in their 5xxwhp track car monster... and theyre pretty cheap... especially when compared to ogura and OS |

mine oso just overheated... happened on saturday... TNS
had no choice but to drive around even if it overheated as my baby was in the car and it was a ridiculously hot day... stopped awhile here n there. luckily managed to reach home safely. at first i thought it was the radiator fan kaput coz i didnt see it moving at all...even after some long periods....so yesterday at a workshop near my place...after some checking, it seems its the "auto sensor" located near the thermostat... so did a direct fan wiring... then drove to camzone to see if they had the part to replace it... on the way, it started overheating again... so obviously not the fan.... check n check n check somemore.. opened up the thermostat...and found out it was jammed... so... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « also flushed the radiator until all the gunk came out....water was easily Kopi-O level already. on the way back, the temp remained normal, even in slow moving traffic..... so looks like all good...havent tested with aircond on yet though... coz drove without aircond. initially they thought head gasket kaput... but after all that checking, they said no issue already. also adjusted the teppet while i was there... i noticed it getting louder when the car was overheating. luckily my head no issue man... coz if it required skimming... die la me... i have to buy a new head already... coz my current head has been "skimmed kow kow" according to my engine builder |

the honda type r plugs? decent plugs...used them before
switching from iridium to those felt no diff... me personally not a believer in plugs....i actually prefer to use chep ngk plugs n change every 10k...id do the same with the type r plugs oso....only reason im using iridium now is coz thats the only type the workshop had when I was rebuilding my engine |

QUOTE(naz_way @ Jul 13 2013, 09:07 PM) Hey guys, I just got myself a 92 Civic EG 4 doors definitely 15"...planning to change the rims since the stock rims are not good looking anymore. should I put in 15" or 16" rims? thanks 16" will only look good if u lower it properly...but will be heavy n lose pickup as well as increased fuel consumption if ur track kaki then 16" is a good choice...but my eg im setting it up for track days oso im using 15" .... more choices on performance tires n significantly cheaper than 16" |
