too bad 4 lugs only

Added on December 26, 2012, 4:07 pmi dunno how you will u turn with 8" wide wheels. even 25mm overfender can fit, full lock will scrape
*
thought about that a looooooooooooooooooonnnggg time already.....but 949 have to order la... manyak leceh n manyak mahal @ RM3k+...closest is australia but they are also expensive there...

anyways...im dropping the idea of 949 for awhile due to THIS

id rather order some Rota Slipstreams in 15x8 +35 for cheaper ....or even Enkei PF01 15x8 for about the same price (guesstimate)

anyway.... 15x8 with a +36 offset like the 949 fits nicely in Hondas it seems... so im sure the +35 version fits too...

but... 15x8 is a dream for now.. the ones available locally are all with the stupid hellaflushthetoiletlepasciritbirit offset...

so ill just hunt for 15x7...top contenders (that ive managed to find, and in no particular order) are 5Zigen FN01R-C, Black Racing Pro N1, Sprint Hart CP-F, Rays Sebring Vesta Spring

.....dunno how these will clear 4pot bbk though....i just might end up with some taiwan TE37 or SSR Type C-RS

after all that typing... it boils down to... i need to hunt for tires first...after that will only look into rims... as mentioned.. might end up with taiwan wheels depending on the tires i get.

of course complain la... pokai wei! hahahha....im also considering running diff wheels front n rear... but ori wheels la... coz most of the time when people only sell 2 pieces... they sell them cheap biggrin.gif

i dun wanna go to 16" mainly coz tak nak jadi berat...love how the car is now... so wanna stick with it... i may consider 16s for dedicated track wheels though

initial thought was to run semi slicks as daily oso... was considering the R888 or achilles 123....but considering that my wife n baby boy sits in the car every now n then... the risk when its raining (n it rains alot nowadays) not worth it...that n the noise

i oso kinda sick of the SW388/regamaster design... see it every bloody where....but... it comes in 15x8 hence the consideration of the slipstreams

actually my main reason for changing wheels is to get some that can fit my planned 4pot upgrade....current ones i dont think itll fit.

definitely need to budget... coz i bought a house n moving into it soon... need finances to furnish the house sweat.gif moneyflies.gif

still on the hunt for KU36.... seriously hard to find man these tires... doh.gif

need to consider possible alternatives, just dunno wat to choose...

r888 have not that bad grip in the wet, heck i am using it  in monsoon season lol. the noise is an issue though, it is worse on mine since i removed all sound proofing tar. now depend on carpet and the firewall insulation as sound proofing only. sound like pajero on all terrain tires lol.

try buddy club p1 15x7jj they're not too expensive and clears even a monoblock caliper with the right offset.

comparing to my previous falken rt215 back in 2005, i think r888 is even stickier. still cannot beat re01 and re11 because they are less noisy and less wearing than r888 with almost comparable grip.

or you can consider doing like seeker's eg6. 215 16" front 195 15"  rear end lol
*
im targetting 15x7 +35 if i can find...otherwise spacers + extended wheel studs heh...

P1... not a fan... could have bought the my car with those wheels...but i didnt want so i just sumbat my current X into it....anyway.. the P1 ive found so far are all more expensive than the ones i mentioned above... high chances ill just go with the FN01R-C

honestly...id love some RE11.. but all ive found on mudah nearby are the ones that should have been thrown into the recycling bin....itu macam punya tayar pun still nak jual lagi...hampeh

believe me ive considered running 16f and 15r.. especially since jebon advertised a pair of 16 ori type c for cheap.... laugh.gif

Powder coating is only possible on clear surface. zzz

if they dont have paint strippers then ur better off taking it home... stopping by a hardware store to buy paint stripper and a paint brush... and stripping the paint urself

Hi honda sifu here

my Honda Civic FD2 year 2008
having loud engine sound....tok tok tok tok sound from the engine
i check in Honda SC...they said my camshaft for intake and exhaust got problem..ask me to change..it cost around rm 4k for both.....
but i did ask outside technician...they say this can be solve by adjust the valve...but honda SC refused to adjust...
just mention the camshaft is rosak....need to change
can i buy other brand camshaft ? Original honda is kinda expesive
not sure about other brand..some said can gain more power
my car is stock car
*
other brand of aftermarket camshaft will be more expensive as u will need to change the valve springs as well.. and mebbe get adjustable cam gears and re-tune etc etc....

if can adjust the valve... adjust the valve first and see... if still cannot... then u should try sourcing for used cams

haha maintaince first.  i finally finished mine a few years back so now is just more performance mods and utility mods.
Most people who use fuel/oil pressure meter don't even know what it is for.  I use it to check crank bearing wear and also make sure i don't have catastrophic oil pump failure.
*
just one (or two) of the reasons why i need it... but damn those meters are expensive doh.gif

gotta figure out a way to have ICE in the car without the HU though... wanna use the HU slot for the meters

i used to put in a single din with the pictured brown drawer/storagebox in that double din location.  after it died,  i replaced with double din.  radio +mp3 is cheap.  i saw a unit at brother's,  no cd,  just radio and mp3 player via sdcard/usb.  rm68. cheap as shit.

mounts in any single din slot
*
rm68? must be some.china brand one eh?

they also.selling the jvc ones for abt rm180 iirc...
