No arguments here. Me talking about how polarised us Malaysians are now and needing to lighten up was in response to someone's comment on our government sweeping racial issues under the rug. Just to add, I don't think they are being swept under the rug. In fact I think they are playing a big part in stirring racial sentiment.

If Suarez is punished, it will be unfortunate for us as he's been the 1 bright spark for us so far this season but what needs to be done, should be done. Doesn't matter that the term is widely accepted where he comes from because "when in Rome, do as Romans do". All I ask is the FA be consistent with charging players and meeting out punishment.
More importantly, I hope people speaking out against racism, asking for players to be prosecuted aren't hypocrites and racist themselves. One example is Yossi Benayoun being booed by a section of fans in Bukit Jalil for being Jewish. If Terry is convicted, I wonder how these fans would react? Similarly, I wonder what they think of Suarez's incident?

It would be a blow for us if he gets the ban for 5-6 matches..

Having said that there is also a need to practice some tolerance no? Take our country as an example. These days we are just so damn polarized. Back in the day we thought nothing about being called, "ah pek", or whatever by our mates. We made racist jokes and all had a laugh after.

Former Uruguay international Gus Poyet has defended countryman Luis Suarez over allegations he racially abused Patrice Evra, accusing the Manchester United defender of "crying like a baby".

Liverpool's Suarez was charged by the Football Association earlier this week after Evra told French television station Canal Plus that the striker had used a racist insult toward him "at least 10 times" during last month's 1-1 draw at Anfield. The Merseyside club say their player will deny the charge at a personal hearing and they remain "fully supportive" of him. Poyet, now manager of Brighton, is also evidently in the Suarez camp.

Quoted in several newspapers, the former Chelsea and Tottenham midfielder said: "I played for seven years in Spain and was called everything because I was from South America. And I never went out crying like a baby, like Patrice Evra, saying that someone said something to me.

"I believe Suarez. It's simple. I am surprised in a really sad way that he has been charged. I think it is worse to charge someone because you trust one person when you have no proof."

"I am sad because it is going to become too easy. I can make a complaint about an opposition manager and if I take it as far as I can he will be charged. Why are we going to take one person's word over another's?"

Poyet's comments come at a time when FIFA president Sepp Blatter has been widely criticised for his controversial suggestion that racism on the pitch should be settled by a handshake.

When YOSSI was booed, most CHELSEA fans in LYN condeem it, you dont boo someone because of his nationality, that is plain stupid because you cant choose where u were born, can u ? On TERRY and SUAREZ, it should be innocent until proven guilty, but as a fans or as a person, in a heat of moment if they did say those words i believe most can understand but is still not a good example to show to the world so just take responsibility and serve any punishment that is deem appropriate. I kinda agree with Blatter said of "foul words". Calling ANTON black does not mean TERRY hate/racist against MIKEL, ESSIEN or DROGBA also, is things we say when we are angry.
