Just bought the 7.0 Plus used. Already have the original Galaxy Tab bought 2 months back. Now, what am I going to do with both? Still not used to the Honeycomb UI. For the time being, will keep both running on Multi-SIM.

And f***ing Google... they disabled read/write access to Micro SD card on Honeycomb 3.2 update!
No wonder why I can't copy anything to SD card. |

QUOTE(markypcs @ Dec 23 2011, 07:43 PM) Just bought this Tab for RM1,560! 1. Look for a better File Manager... ATM, u cannot write to SD card!Good price? Include matte screen protector. It is charging for 8 hours now. Since I am completely new to the Android market, what do you veterans recommend I do first? Help will be much appreciated! 2. Since it is dual core, look for awesome games to buy. 3. Get a good case - don't spend too much. |

I used Google Maps with Navigation. Need a rooted device to install.
Found another bug. If u unmount SD card and swap with another, the Tab will display 'Damaged SD card' and prompt u to format. Never format it. Simply reboot the Tab and everything will work fine. Honeycomb worse than Gingerbread. |

Garmin lock damn slow these days. My 1460 is damn disappointing. Locking slow never mind. Clicking GO and the unit will hang for 5 minutes before calculating the route. Now, even Aeco can't explain.

Because it is Honeycomb 3.2, many games / apps not 100% compatible with it. I'm using my P1000 with Gingerbread 2.3.3 because of this.
Only advantage is the super long battery life. After watching 3 TV series in HD, I'm down to 80% battery life. On the P1000, battery life went down to 60% after watching 3 TV series from DVD-rips. |

QUOTE(camel90 @ Dec 26 2011, 12:34 PM) Can i know what format that your DVD TV Series were ripped into? how about the resolution? All my DVD-rips are in AVI format. Usually those from aXXo or FXG. Good quality @ 700MB per movie. For HD, usually in MP4 or MKV formats. Already ordered an OTG cable to use external flash drive - cheaper as 32GB around RM 110 or use 320GB hard drive.i have installed MOBO player in my 7+. |

Bought a 10.1 OTG USB adapter. Working well with flash drive and card reader. The PenDrive 48GB not supported due to higher power requirement.
Had to make do with Kingston 16GB and Patriot 16GB instead. The OTG cable USB connection damn tight when using with Patriot. Kingston easier because the USB port is only single sided. This post has been edited by acbc: Dec 28 2011, 10:19 PM |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 1 2012, 08:47 PM) You can copy files into internal memory thro PC or on tab itself just use any file explorer copy it over from ext sdcard I don't think u can copy any files to SD with ES File Explorer or any other file managers. Sure have 'write' error. Only way is via My Files app and Root Explorer. This is a Honeycomb 3.2 limitation. And because of this, u can't even backup data from Tab to SD card. For now, I bought an OTG cable and used a cheap flash drive to store all my video files. A 16GB flash drive going for RM 45 bucks now. |

Yes. I'm using an el-cheapo OTG cable bought from Lelong.com.my. Works great with Kingston and Patriot flash drives. However, won't work with Pendrive flash drive due to higher power requirement.
Another thing... only supports FAT32. NTFS, exFAT or HFS not supported. USB hub also not supported. So does USB Multi Memory Reader. |

Actually, Honeycomb 3.2 has USB OTG support. Even my Motorola Xoom (previously shipped with 3.0) supports OTG now.
Added on January 2, 2012, 11:35 pmFor those looking for FREE games... legally, simply open an Amazon App Store account and enjoy. New games are given out free daily after 11PM. So far, I got Fruit Ninja: Puss In Boots and Monopoly. All u need is an US address - just use Google's address. This post has been edited by acbc: Jan 2 2012, 11:35 PM |
