Got my SE LiveView today... works great with the P6200 for notifications. Can leave the tablet in the pocket as LiveView will vibrate for any incoming mails, calls, FB and tweets. Work best with BT headset.

Stick to Twitter. Less crashes and bugs. UberSocial or TweetDeck not bad.

Yeah... it tend to disconnect randomly.

Screw the rest. Install AirDroid and u can control the Tab wirelessly. However, u cannot write to the SD card. This is a Honeycomb limitation.

Seriously... if u can afford RM 1.5k for a tablet, at least buy some original apps. Cheap only. Some cheaper than eating at KFC.

Because it is stealing. Give some money back to the developers la. Don't be a cheapskate. If not, don't buy a Tab. Stick to 3310 only.

Rooting is not illegal. I never use any pirated apps... for all my devices. I only buy apps during holidays like Christmas last year when selected Android apps going for RM 0.33 each. Don't tell me u cannot afford 33 sen?

People use pirated Windows because they either hate MS or simply want to try out. I'm the latter. Once it is up to my standard, I went out and buy the original. If cannot afford, will settle for used or donated copies.

For Android and iOS, there are many free apps... but I hate the ads. Too annoying and distracting. For as long apps are priced below 1 dollar, I will buy it. Consider cheap already. Last time (many years ago) I bought Profimail on Symbian for 25 dollars! But, for that price... support was excellent and the app is far superior than the stock Symbian mail app.

Finally got the LiveView to work properly with P6200.

I used Go Launcher EX and LiveView app into list of protected app (so OS won't terminate it) and it continuously updated with all events while the tablet is in the bag. Pretty handy.

Just use any valid US address when registering. Works every time. However, u can't purchase apps with MY credit card. But Amazon will give out paid apps for free daily.

Without a proxy, u can only download FREE apps.

I used Go Launcher EX... the best so far. Others damn lag.

U can only write to Internal Memory which is around 12GB. U can't write on External SD even with AirDroid. Honeycomb limitations. U can however, unmount the SD card, write using a SD reader and mount it back.

Noted. I tried the manual way of editing platform.xml and it worked pretty well. Thanks.

*UPDATE*

After the patch, a lot of problems cropped up!

First, unable to write into built-in storage - highlighted at XDA too. Many apps unable to run because internal storage is now set as read only. External storage is now read / write.

I reverted back to original platform.xml and everything went back to normal.

So, my argument still valid. U cannot write into external storage with AirDroid or transfer files from internal storage to external storage with many 3rd party apps. Only My Files will work when transferring files from internal to external storage.

I'm using Maps 6.4.0 since yesterday. U need to root the device (easy), use Super Manager to copy the file to /system/app and rename it to maps.apk.

Solution? Get a data plan la! Can afford RM 1.6k device surely can afford RM 28 data plan (if uMobile) or RM 58 data plan (DiGi, Maxis).

Google is your friend... search for maps 6.4 brut mod and download maps6.4.0-ownhere.apk into /system/app after rooting the device. U also need to rename the file, maps6.4.0-ownhere.apk to maps.apk and it will appear in the App Drawer.

Very simple...

If u don't plan to make calls (a bit silly anyway), take out the broadband SIM card and put it inside the Tab. Will work fine.

I wonder when ICS will arrive for this Tab.

I want to sell my 7+ already... with full accessories - unit, hdmi adapter, car charger and anymode case... waited too long for ICS and still no news.

I already hard reset my P6200 to receive ICS.
