Well, I will get you some things to read from china. But lots of them are actually very infomercial. But the gist of it is, everyone there is pushing everyone to buy silver. So I think at least about 0.1% of the chinese population already own some form of silver. Gold? I'm sure more, but silver, gaining momentum.

i think we need more people like mike maloney to create more awareness about silver.

it's obvious that
1. there is more gold than silver on earth (the last i read is that gold is 12 times more than silver on earth)
2. industry usage & demand for silver is way more than gold

why people are still only buying gold?

Well, gold has enter the second phase while silver still in first phase.
Everyone has been talking about gold last few centuries but not silver.
Before getting to read about silver, when people talk about, we'll like 'Huh? what is that? Worth money meh?'.

Just need to educate our friends and families about silver. I can see silver to shine more brightly than gold in the future. I might not be able to have chance to see it. But definitely it will be more worthy than gold in the future.

Where did you get that gold is 12x more than silver on earth. The GSR sure does not reflect that.

in my opinion, more and more ppl buying silver because its affordable compared to gold. Therefore, many investor do not think its a bad thing to invest in silver?? they think the price of silver is still low and it has the potential to GROW! haha.. i dunno but that's what i see.

I started the same way too. importantly, silver is a cheaper alternative to gold, and since it follows the big brother GOLD most of the time, I decided to buy into silver, then I started searching for silver.

I'm sure not all people started like this, but I know silver is a long term investment, so buying it now will not make me regret later. As gold and silver are forever WORTH something, unlike money or shares, which could be worthless during crisis, even real estate, if built at the wrong place, for example, beisdes a hill which recently has landslide or earthquake.

i believe very few people are investing in paper silver, unless you are talking about trading silver. most of us here are talking about physical silver which you can consider referring here to learn more about buying silver in Malaysia

i guess another reason is because it's hard to buy paper silver in malaysia
we dont have silver saving passport like gold
singapore do have, but the last i checked, only singapore PR could buy
