Ozak, OT a bit. I saw a new shop at bandar puteri near Giant side, that last row of new shoplots. The name is See Wide. They sell all electrical stuff. I bought all my clipsal switches from them at their main in Loke Yew
Looks like ppl are opening their branches here in Puchong. Even CT Hardware got branch here
*
Hei, thanks. You mean the giant right side inner side shop right ?

There is really a lot of electrical shop in puchong. Not difficult to get a thing. But difficult to look for quality 1. Cause almost all are selling same thing supply by 1 supplier.

Example I look for a simple Din rail. But went to 5-6 electrical shop. All selling same low quality very thin soft Din rail. At the end no choice have to go pasar road KL. Sigh!

no. impact energy equal to force of the hammering.

hr1830 have only 1.2 joules of impact energy. hr2470 have double that at 2.4 joules. even if the hr1830 have 500 more bpm, the total impact energy sent to the walls per minute is only 6000 joules. the hr2470 would've sent 10800 joules in that time.
which is why the 1830 is only rated for 18mm concrete while the hr2470 max at 24mm.

people buy a rotary hammer for drilling into concrete. the impact energy makes all the difference. but yeah, try lugging 2.6kg up and down the ladder a few times. if weight is not a consideration, get the hr2470.
*
Thanks. I m looking at the Makita MY site. Very less information I can read.

So the blow perminute doesn't equal to Joules of the impact. Guess the power watt play the important spec.

I believe greater power come with heavy weight. I have to go to gym in order to handle this power tools. tongue.gif

Once you go rotary, you never go impact biggrin.gif

Only take 10sec or less to make a hole on the concrete slab ceiling, vs few mins on impact drill, the weight of rotary is close to non when comparing the pain of holding the impact drill vertical facing upward for mins.
*
The main I m looking at the rotary drill is the avaibility to chipping a trunk. As well as drilling a hole.

Impact drill can't do that.

The 3/4 sockets set.
*
Big set.

You can try at the Bandar puchong jaya, Jalan Kenari 23A same roll as Oldtown Kopitiam. Shop name Tools depot. Selling mainly UK tools.

I almost get a set from china for the smaller socket set. But it made in Taiwan which look quite good the quality. Since don't want discount, I just walk away.

yesterday I almost pulled the trigger on the Makita HR2470 and Bosch 1080-2-Li cordless driver at Lazada. The price wasnt cheaper but after using a Rm100 voucher, both items came to only Rm706. The bosch can be had for around 250.

But so heavy to send. And the difference in voltage. And taxes.
*
Not the rotary. But the cordless.

The amazon cordless set look better spec and price compare local Makita. Only the charger is using 110v. Which can overcome with a step down transformer. With shipping price, still cheaper than here. But Amazon don't ship outside US. sad.gif

Got to use another way.

i was browsing around in mudah, probably price for sata has increase. Elora brand not so easy to find in jb, mostly now days either unknown china brand and mr.mark is ample. So far tried Sata and Toptul not bad their quality. Getting trolly set, my dream la. want to Diy must have complete tools  blush.gif

Nowdays most tools are made in china, even sata is manufacture in china, heck expensive brand like SnapOn also manufacture in China already. With good QC and material i think it will still be topnotch...
*
Even I look as far as Japan for quality tools, there is no more. Just get the Japan brand. Doesn't matter where it make.

it's not. it's a new model, with less features. hence it could be sold for less than RM300. i bought the original 10.8 for RM500-ish.

the 14.4 is 1.3kg, the 18v is 1.4kg. the 10.8 is only 1kg. and there's no bulging battery that sticks out from the hand grip. for some usage in a small space, like assembling kitchen cabinets or inside a drawer it makes a lot of difference.
*
I mean the battery voltage. 10.8v is old. Which mostly already upgrade to at least 12v.

I have this set from the first model which many yrs back. Very handy. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2234276/+40?hl=Bosch

Anyone heard of Milwaukee brand powertool before?  Currently Milwaukee is having a promotion for compact impact drill driver and sds-plus rotary hammer.  If you are looking for durability and high end performance with exceptional battery life then why not consider Milwaukee FUEL series cordless powertool. Currently i believe in Malaysia, Milwaukee is the only brand that uses BRUSHLESS MOTOR on their 12v series of cordless powertools.

Perhaps if you have time, you can have a simply read up on brushless motor compared to brushed motor (with carbon)
Brushless DC motor

Milwaukee Compact impact drill driver

Currently Milwaukee is having a promotion for buy 1 free 1.  For more details you can have a look on our lelong webstore

RojakToolsOn9 webstore Milwaukee M12 Fuel Compact Impact Drill Driver

Not trying to hard sell here...but just hoping to give you guys other options if your looking for performance and value to money cordless powertool.

This is a normal drill if don't have impact switchable. You need an impact drill for wall.

Get a wired bosch re450 drill.

Depend what you drilling and job.

If you doing wood and metal job, normal drill is important and impact drill is useless.

For construction, impact drill is more important. 2nd is normal drill.

For screw driving.

Easy hold screw cause ada magnetic and sleeve.

Also extend rod like screwdriver Incase some tight space you cannot reach.
