allfix look quite expensive to me from thier website. like GBH 4-32 DFR discounted price for rm1688 and heck even 2-26dre rm725 is ridiculuosly expensive. we are getting around 1500+- and rm600+- for those respectively. btw i have 2-26dre.

No need this kind of tool lah. Just drill. The chance to kena the wire in the wall is very very less. Just follow this rule.

1) don't drill above or below the wall light in straight line.
2) don't drill below the socket in straight line.
3) don't drill above the switch light in straight line.

I drill and instal DIY for my home. Never kena anything in the wall. Just follow this rule.
*
if im not mistaken..

electrical always comes down from ceiling in straight line..

and for lighting point dont drill horizontal/vertical to the wall

water piping is from the bottom usually follow the same rules as electrical in some sense

Hi sifus,

Just a noob question...recently look around some shops for a driller.
I was just wondering whether getting the bosch gsb10 is sufficient for me to drill concrete walls, tiles and probably some wood stuff?

Furthermore, can the gsb10 also act as a power screwdriver and etc?

Hope to hear some feedbacks. Thank you.
*
u mean this model

http://www.bosch-pt.co.in/papocs-in/Trade+...21088/index.htm
"GSB 10 Professional"

yeah it can do what you say... can also act as a driver to drive screws into wood...

its 550W for your information biggrin.gif

well at least its better than B&D then those low powered bosch...

the power different between a true rotary hammer and those impact one is so big..

apart from that sds plus drill bits seem to be harder then normal drill bits

Got myself Skil 1715 Rotary Hammer Drill (RM255) & Cordless Drill/Driver 2212 (RM175) for my house DIY jobs. Nice tools I would say... For sure, can't compared with Bosch or Makita but it's much better then Black & Decker as I used before.  biggrin.gif

May I know which drill bit shall I choose to drill through tiles?
Any tips on preventing the tiles from cracking while drilling?

Thanks.
*
slow and constant slow drilling speed.. dont apply too much pressure...

takes time to drill tiles.. for me about 5 mins 1 hole with a short break to see how far i have drilled and also to cool the drill bit

make sure DON'T USE hammer mode..
