The cutting speed is different between wood and tiles.
But I can confirm with you on this when I visit the shop again since I planned to buy GKS 66X soon.
*
i know one of the main reasons is the thickness .. usually tiles dont need so thick so the blade diameter is smaller eg 110mm.. or less (the 10.8v/12v) variant devices..

where as wood it can go "thick" eg 2x4 and what not..

cutting speed.. seems like the same "fast" smile.gif

Showing the picture of my first wood cut using Bosch 10.8V cordless circular saw. All the while I did cuts using jigsaw.
I am reusing some wood from "buy but unused" ikea furniture to make a footstool for my computer desk.

The good thing about circular saw, I can do cuts right on the table because circular saw does not require large clearance on the bottom of the cut wood like a jigsaw.

why none of them want to come out with a direct converter adaptor ? looks like a battery with wire.. so if need long use/power use can use those type of adaptor..

i have one worx, some of their design are quite innovative, like this cutter,

but i think the size of the blade is not universal, so u have to use the worx blade only

and their blades might not be the best.. thats the catch....

Currently the Bosch GKS 10.8v has only one blade.  sad.gif

yeah seems like the gks that you have is using 85mm disk.. which is same like wrox..

but wrox have disk size of 85mm which for 3 different type of material can cut..

not sure if bosch gks 10.8v/12v and this wrox 85mm can ngam or not..

went out hunting today, seems like 85mm disk very hard to find/not common..

more common one are the 105mm and 120mm which is everywhere

just curious can a bigger saw use a smaller blade ? eg "WORX WU427.1 WORXSAWXL 120MM"

use those 105mm diamond blades from bosch ?

did some quick checking for the cutting disc

Worx Worxsaw XL
Blade Bore: 15mm
Blade Size: 120mm

Worx Versacut Compact Saw
Blade Bore: 15mm
Blade Size: 85mm

bosch diamond cutting disk
Diameter mm 105
Bore diameter mm 20/16

Bosch - Cutting discs - Inox
Diameter mm 105
Bore diameter mm 16,00

GWS 10,8-76 V-EC Professional (mini grinder)
Bore size, diameter 10 mm
Grinding/cutting disc, diameter 76 mm

GKS 12 V-LI Professional (mini saw, like the versacut)
Saw blade bore diameter 15 mm

bosch diamond cutting disc is 20/16 not sure what it means and the inox cutting disk is 16,00

guessing the inox is only 16mm bore supported which the other supports 20mm & 16mm..
guessing there will be converter for wrox to support 20mm/16mm bore since it is only 15mm

the bosch mini saw gks has same bore as wrox, the gws mini grinder has a bore of 10mm only..

damn all non compatible sizes.. seems like the wrox is a good buy if they can use the bosch diamond cutting disk
105mm (20/16) using adapter

Test the blade last weekend.

The blade done a good job. Cutting through the cement and brick effortless. But not the machine. The 12V circular saw don't have enough power to cut fast. The battery doesn't last long too. Small job like what I do is ok. But big job, you have to consider others.

The line cutting is straight and nice. Make the  chipping of the trunk easily with the HR2470 Makita.

why so looks so weird one your wiring ? why you planning to put/attached there ?
doesn't look like additional face place and what not..

care to share the finish job ?

time for you to mod the saw with a 12v dc converter attached to the power socket. and buy a second hand spoilt batt
. for continues cutting ? smile.gif
