After detail inspection of the 3 finger chuck, looks like one of the finger in the chuck is out of alignment a bit.
Mujur I have found the receipt.

Than take back and claim. Bring along some drill to test.

so far all my bosch powertool has no such issue....maybe there is a little but it not obvious ..

no harm send it back to bosch for checking.

Quote from bosch representative from their forum...
There will be a very small amount of movement with the chuck both backwards & forwards as that is needed for the impact/hammer action and because of this there will also be movement in all directions. However there is a tolerance to what is acceptable. It does vary slighty from machine to machine.
*
That's why I separate buy the drill.

I need precision for drilling. Separate the hammer drill.

Unscrew with Makita impact driver

Mark the length to be cut
user posted image

Cut it with Makita circular saw. But not a correct tool since it not cut deep enough. Should use jig saw. But don't have.

So got to saw it manually. But it doesn't effect the nice clean straight cut.

Sand it smooth with the bosch sander

Anyway, need your guy's opinion on this. I have a Dremel 4000, a plunge router attachment with modified length of the rod as to convert a hobby power tool to a semi pro power tool. Apparently this way does not work on cutting MDF straight. So now am thinking getting a real pro power tool for the right job. Jigsaw sure out of topic as it won't give a real straight cut. Left with circular saw which I'm thinking to get. But would like to convert it to a fixed saw as this is the only way to get real straight cut.
Any idea for this? Thanks.
*
Yup circular saw give a better straight cut. Even by hand.

Get a circular saw and DIY fix to the table. Or attachment easy takeout.

Either the saw sliding move or working wood move.

Did further testing on all my drill bits after work today.
Seems like not all drill bits will wobble.
Looking at the picture, those bits at the right wobbles while those at the left is stable or wobble a little only.
most 4mm drill bits wobble except 1.
Hmm...I think the drill is ok, just the drill bits. I don't have smaller size(less than 4mm) bits to test.

You buying the cheap concrete drill bit? The material is freaking soft.

Have a set don't no who give. I throw away.

Yup, target will be circular saw. Just that need to see ways to convert it, or at least adding some metal plates to have adjustable straight guide.
Trust me, when dealing with harder wood, jigsaw are pretty useless.
Converting circular saw do post high risk, that's why adding metal guide on it will be safer, since I'm still using it on the proper way.

On the side note, I won't be getting cordless circular saw, wired will be the better option for me. Using Dremel to cut hard wood by breaking 2 drill bits tells me that power is everything.
*
Guess YouTube plenty such video how to convert.

Still pretty easy to cut my door Nyatoh wood using the cordless circular saw.

Those drill bits I accumulated over the years, got china bundle bits, B&D, wolfcraft and bosch.
The ones I used the most are 5 and 6 mm.

Well, 2 of the bits that wobble are from Bosch, 4mm and 10mm.
*
Concrete drill bit normally have softer body compare metal drill bit. Cause the actual cutting is just the front tungsten carbide side only. But those China wan too soft.

And it doesn't require accurate like metal drill bit. (Wobbling)

If use 18V I think will have enough power to cut hard wood.
Later when I make my workbench with resak wood I plan to cut with my 18v jigsaw.
*
18v is more expensive than the wired ? But wired wan more powerful. Go for more power since you not going to bring it far away to use.

My this Ryobi circular saw have been try with hard wood. 800w. But scary to use. sweat.gif

A GKS 235T that requires 2000W wired cost you rm880.
While an entry level Bosch cordless cost you rm4** or the 18V cost rm1***.
Also the motor speed also matters, especially when you need to cut MDF or HDF, cutting wood actually requires more power than cutting metal.

Amazon ship to Malaysia? For this circular saw how much do you reckon the shipping cost is?
*
Does not ship to here. Anything that involve battery, amazon won't ship international.

So got to use the yushin way. Probably same as the tools price for the shipping cost ?

I can get a cheaper shipping cost. But require over 100lb of weight. And longer shipping time. (vessel)

Hi,

Do you guys do dust collection when cutting/routing/sanding?
I plan to convert my small room into a woodwork room. Worry about dusts flying around. Room is small at about 8' x 10'.
Saw some cyclone collectors in aliexpress, quite interesting.
*
I just use vaccum cleaner.

You need a vaccum dust collector. But local sell mostly for industrial. Which can cost you 10k and more.

Better do it open air, even you are using the world most expensive dust extractor, it won't remove 100% most of the time.
Wear proper dust mask(avoid those 3M cheapo mask) and safety spec are the best way to go with it.
*
Doing in the room have an advantage of working longer day. And nobody complain you about your powertools noise in the night.

Doing in a room has the benefit of aircond.

Normally weekday, you can't do anything if outside do. After work is already pass 7pm. Can't power up any powertools.

Project become delay for many week as only weekend can have a full day do. And sometime weekend also occupy by outdoor activity and shopping and family.

RM150 is just the cyclone cone from aliexpress, you need to add the vacuum blower and dustbin to make it work.
Want high quality air can even add HEPA filter lol...

The cyclone's function is to collect larger wood dusts first before the air goes to your vacuum cleaner.
Normal home use vacuum cleaner not durable enough to handle too many wood dust.
*
This is a small type of dust collector. It collect all the dust at the top side body. While the vaccum unit at below. Attach the hose ontop.

It can run 8hr continuously. Run quite than normal house vaccum. Air blow out with filter. Unclip the top cover and throw away the dust.

Didn't use for many yrs in my work place.
