Maybe they think Malaysia market can't sell.
This 5 in 1 gimmic sound like for DIYers, real working people using tools whole day won't be buying it.
The price also... I think whole set of 5 attachments would costs over rm3k...

Some of my power tool will be coming from amazon usa.
The 18v jigsaw costs 1.3k here while similar thing costs rm8xx include delivery to Malaysia.  bangwall.gif
*
Not that expensive la.

The price here crazy. And the RM buying power is low.

If you go here. You will craw out penniless. Guarantee....

18V mostly for contractor. More power, longertime but also more heavy.

DIY, go for 12V.

12V means the 10.8 series of Bosch ?
*
There are the same. The std range is 10.8/12v , 14.4v and 18v.

If you brought the cordless tools from state is 12v, and you want to buy the battery here, than just look for 10.8v range.

Ya, I feel like 18v tools almost same size as those corded tools, weight almost same too.
10.8v tools feel so light and handy but most of them not fit my requirement.
*
18v have more range of powertools to choose. Since it prefer tools for contractor and industries.

Weight is heavier than cord type. Cause the battery.

Drills targeting first time buyers usually comes with a lot of accessories.
I think is good so first time buyers can try to do many things.
With the internet age now, it will be even better if Bosch include a web link to teach those buyers how to do some home DIY and with proper safety.

Why Makita not so aggressive in marketing like Bosch? Their cordless tools are very interesting.
*
Those Bosch tools included are low quality. Yes for new user. For experience user, they want the drill only.

I prefer makita. They have more interesting spec and more durable.

bosch limited edition bit set...quite a complete range for diy. love this set as it came in a nice durable case as i like all my tool / bits to be organized.

That measurement tape look different and interesting. Is the 2 side have the mark ? And it stay when pull, press retract ?

That drill set look good. Easy to carry anywhere.

All my drill, box nut, screw driver is everywhere and messy. Just don't no how to organize. Can't find a proper tools box set that fit all.

yes, both sided marking. There is an architectural scale at the back printed marking too ( 1/8 & 1/50 scale ) which is very handy for plan reading in scale...

check this video out...better than i explain it in words..  biggrin.gif

*
Ya, understand the scale.

Too bad just brought 1. I hate those cheap plastic measurement tape. The slamming cause the plastic break off easily. And the rubber will break after short yrs.

i have dispose quite a number of those cheap measurement tape including one 1 stanley tape previously....most of my issue relate to the cracked housing due to drop and some the roller doesn't retract the tape back after pull out...some the marking got faded after less than a year of usage...but among the cheap one, original stanley is still the best ( the metal case one )

none of my previous tape could compare to this milwaukee, which i think it will last for a longer time.. biggrin.gif
*
Agree those old Stanley metal casing type. Really last long. Can't find it anymore.

Stanley PowerLock series measurement tape is the only one still in metal case and not very expensive too... RM29 only.
*
Some look like metal case. Very chrome.

But it is plastic.

And some fake wan, is alloy injected mold. Once break, you can see it super thin the casing.

I will always consider the tax imposed before buying from US.
Another way is ask the seller to under declare the value and separate item price and postage cost.
*
For US side, that would be difficult to do. Unless buy from individual in ebay.

It is very important tools.

My new measurement tape Rolson. This time try the whole rubberize cover.

My old cheapo measurement tape. Plastic easily break. But I can't throw it away. As this is special FS measurement type.

Still can do it but you need middleman warehouse. However send to warehouse will be charged USA tax.
Unless the deal really super good else not worth the hassle.

I brought back directly. All the battery hand carry. Almost kena stop at Dubai airport. sweat.gif

I never bother much on the free gifts, especially if they are giving out cheapo unknown brand stuffs.
Recently I add a small gate to prevent my son from climbing staircase, we have to drill a hole on a metal bar. The contractor are having hard time to make a hole on it and I borrow my Bosch drill bit to him and within 3 minutes, a hole is made.
*
Compare the spec by yourself.

You should be able to choose which 1. If the Free gift didn't distract you.

What do you think ozak ?
Kickstarter project - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bagel-...st-tape-measure

*
Great tech. But not for me.

I cannot look at the number measure and mark the point in accuracy.

And it look like general measure without down to mm accuracy. ( need to check further to confirm)

Guys,

Your cordless hammer drill got wobbling issue?
I was driing 4mm metal hole on gate this afternoon, the wobbling so bad till i fear the drill bit might broke from all the shaking.

See youtube example below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JuTIy_Z1OM

Hope still can claim warranty, loss the receipt. sad.gif
*
If it hammer drill with sds chucking, it is normal for some wobbling.

But for 3finger chuck, it shouldn't be wobbling too much. Or minor.
