You need to check & compare price between CT hardware online or Laz/Gem/11st see which place has better discount lor.

Btw, went to CT HW shop and saw that Bosch 10.8v grinder. So cute... wub.gif
Then looking at the 18V grinder, wah... same size as wire version.

You're tools collector?  Like brought recently.

Well, he did say he was updating his tool set.
10.8v series is more than half cheaper than 18v series.
Mujur I am just a weekend DIYer.

err i found in the net

GSR = screwdriver / Drill
GSB = screwdriver / Drill + Hammer drill

rclxub.gif

how about Black and Decker 14.4v EPC14100K?
*
Well... I do have a GSB18V
There are 2 selection u can do
- Choose between screwdrive, drill, hammer drill
- in crewdriver mode you can select the torque.

Can't comment on GSR as I have IXO as my crewdriver.

With that price, better than buy 1 by 1 tools.

Somemore got all the attachment ready. Straight away can DIY your project.  thumbup.gif
*
Looks very useful for people that does weekend DIY projects.
Does not take up a lot of space too.

Much cheaper than Bosch or Makita products. hmm.gif

I remember black and decker got something that can change head to become drill, dander, jigsaw etc too...

Went to Bosch Malaysia web site just now, notice many 10.8V tools have been replaced with 12V product name.
Hmm... I remember 12V is actually product name for 10.8V in US market?

just had a chat with one of the bosch dealership hardware shop owner. yes, bosch are currently rebranding those 10.8v to 12v. the sole reason is for price hike, so be prepare for it...

basically those 10.8v and 12v tool are the same. same function, same internal, same battery just a new '12v' wording for them to charge higher price..
*
Wah... bosch tool already expensive now still want to raise price? vmad.gif

Just bought few bosch 10.8 power tools.  I'm looking for the torchlight. Any idea where I can get 1?
*
The 10.8v torchlight is not in Malaysia Bosch web site so I don't think you will get official stock here.
Next best option will be to source for it in ebay or amazon.

Btw, why need Bosch torchlight for the 10.8v, quite expensive wor. confused.gif
Did a quick check in 11st & Lazada, all of them around rm300 without battery.

Hi guys, would like to know if buying a Makita HR2470 rotary drill (seems like a recommended model here) for normal home usage (drilling holes for tv bracket, curtain rails, mirrors, etc) would be an overkill? Can it drill small holes for the above items?

Been using a hammer drill previously. Definitely looking forward to make life easier smile.gif but worried if it will be too much for normal usage.
*
Depends on the wall you want to drill.
Normal landed house that used red or cement brick usually a hammer drill will do.
Concrete wall, hammer drill also can drill but it will take longer and you need to push harder.

Unless you need to drill into the support beams which are very hard concrete then you will need rotary hammer.

I use bosch GSB18V hammer drill and it can drill 5-8mm hole in both brick and concrete. Just concrete will take longer time.

any link?

Go to lazada and search "BOSCH GLIVARILED". However I think this model is for 14.4 & 18v which is not suitable for you.

Go 11street, search "Bosch LED". There are 10.8v models but i think all of them ship from overseas.

Bosch Malaysia is bringing in the 18V blower.
Looking at the spec its on par with the datavac that I use to clean computer casing dusts.
Oh yeah no more long cables to pull and stepdown transformer to setup.
Now just waiting for it to show up in gem5...

what setting shld i use for gsb if i want to install door closer?  shld i drive the screw inside my main door or drill hole? i tried to drive screw in, but is too hard.
*
Last time I dig small holes first then only drive the screw into the hole. Similar to how those ikea furniture where you drive screw into pre drilled holes.

Impact drill might not be strong enough to direct drive screw into wood. You need impact driver that has high torque. biggrin.gif
sometime drive too large screw into wood might crack the wood, be careful yo.

I used the 25% Gemfive promo to get a bosch 18V multicutter to do some hole cutting and sanding on rusted part of grill to repaint.

First time I pick up the tool, ouch its so heavy.
I was expecting it to vibrate a lot and has doubt I can hold it well when using, but when power up... wow so stable can't feel much vibration.

Amazing...

Well... RM98 for occasional home DIY use should be ok I think.
Just make sure you wear protections when using it. 13k rpm rotating grinder disk...
