For kitchen sink and washing machine will be use direct water from main source. Bathroom will use water from tank. I am not sure either use ball valve/butterfly valve/stockoff. Can use water from tank for kitchen sink and washing machine? Is it safe? If i am not mistaken, i have read from this thread/somewhere for kitchen sink/washing machine is advisable to use water direct from main. UPDATE: My contractor said building by-law not allow to use water from tank. Thanks. [attachmentid=10435589] You need a check valve (one way valve) at your bypass line after ball valve 1. This is to prevent your pump from pumping backwards i.e (pumping after ball valve 3 into the bypass line) and creating a pumping loop. Hope it makes sense.
