All income generate from FiT are taxable. Please factor in this Roi
http://www.fit-seda-malaysia.com/Homeowners.html Is income from feed-in tariffs considered taxable income? Yes, it is taxable income and any exemptions would require a policy decision from the Government. |

This year sharp came out the highest efficient panel which I think will take few more years to go into production.

Look like Solar power is slowly dying without gov subsidy.

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 27 2013, 08:26 AM) The level is almost impossible if you DIY and get cert. Not the hardware part problem. But the tender, submitting form and procedure is difficult. The SEDA rules that prevent you from DIY. Good luck. Because there are control by few selected company. Typical bolehland style. |

My friend in Perth build entire house by him and his church friends. He only get the architecture to draw and get the house certified by the civil engineer. And everything are fine, insurance and town council accepted it as a house. And the certificate and drawing is not expensive.
Overhere is about protection, and someone need to get rich first before you get your stuff. You can even construct your own vehicle, all procedure and instruction are clearly define by the government. Can build your own kit car and still get valid number plate. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 9 2014, 05:52 PM) It been run for over a mth. There is some waste in this setup. As mostly the panel just sitting there after the battery full. The gadget mostly charging in the night. After the battery full charge for 1-2hr, the rest of the day is waste without using for anything. So decide to reconfigure the setup to direct feed back to the main. Your video marked private lehDirect feeding is much more easy to setup. As you can see in the picture, it only require a MCB, grid tie inverter, watt meter for DC and watt meter for AC. The panel have to rewiring to 24VDC. So the panel will be in 2 pcs in series with 3 set in parallel. In this setup, when the sun up, it direct feed into the inverter. The inverter will wakeup when it sense the DC power coming in. The DC watt meter is to monitor the power coming from the panel. Once the inverter wakeup, it will check the voltage out going, Hz and DC incoming range. Than start to run and feedback to the main. ![]() Here it showing the watt feeding to the main from the inverter. ![]() Here is showing the panel incoming watt, Amp, voltage etc. So does it really feedback to the main? Here is the house meter running backward when feedback. It run from right to left. Usual running is from left to right. In this setup, there is some waste in effeciency. The inverter efficiency is about 86% and below. It mean the panel output every 100w, only 86w it feedback to the main. Well, it still better than sitting duck for the panel. It running only few day now. Have yet see the total KWH for a mth. Will check the bill for end of this mth. The setup cost for this DIY 1) Solar panel 30W 12v RM85/pcs 2) Charge controller 10A 12/24V RM35 3) Inverter 240VAC RM310 4) Others --- forget liau. Cause longtime purchase before this DIY. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 9 2014, 06:00 PM) Aiyah, you think you only kena poison meh. He...... Cheap man.. My ideal setup is to power my 3000w storage heater, it don't need so much energy, maybe 40mins at most, because it only take 20-25mins to heat up the storage. Maybe enough to charge 3 units of DIN55. Guess the challenge is to have a 3300watt inverter (estimate 10% losses), and the wiring from the battery to the interter (280amps)This wago simplified my wiring termination. Very usefull. But a bit messy and confuse when doing the series and parallel wiring. So got to becarefull. Well, if got the chance go again.... If you go HK, take 1 day go over to Shenzhen. It only take 1hr to the electronic street. And I guarantee you won't comeback HK after night. If you want the contact and address of the shop, let me know. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 9 2014, 06:14 PM) Yes. Compare here which is selling at RM360/pcs for 30W. Yeah, but that I have to make some visit in China. Solar panel no tax? If like that can buy from Taobao 3kWatt ? Cannot la. That too costly. 3kw, I better power others beside heater and aircon. Is your inverter a "Grid-tie" inverter? it have to be grid-tie so it match the phase, and also auto shutdown when incoming power are trip. |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 9 2014, 06:25 PM) If you go they holiday lah. The shipping cost killing you. Sound good for a project. Dam, China I need to go... I let the airport custom scan the box everything. But no ask or tax also. It is a 200w grid tie inverter. I will slowly collect/buy the goods. Maybe start with Pasar Road. This post has been edited by weikee: Dec 9 2014, 06:31 PM |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 10 2014, 09:07 AM) I think use solar panel to generate power for the storage heater is do able. I am planing to use the current Joven storage. Don't want to invest another storage. After cracking my head, I think the cost can be lower to setup. But the setup is different from your idea. Need to DIY some modification. Don't need the inverter which will lost some power and entirely run on DC power. What is your storage tank capacity? |

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 10 2014, 02:21 PM) Given you using the joven 68l/15gallon model. Take 60min to reach 43c using 3kw heater. Mine is smaller, Can't confirm is it 35 or 25L, around that only. Modify to lower the heater to 1.2kw and run on 12VDC. That would take (3/1.2)x60 = 2.5hr to reach 43c. Not a problem with this long heating time since let it run 24hr. Free energy mah. The parts 1) solar panel 250W@12vdc 3pcs@400 - RM1200 2) Charger controller 60A - RM300 3) Heating element 12VDC 600W 2pcs@155 - RM310 4) Battery NS70 65Ahr 12VDC 7pcs@155 - RM1085 5) Others - RM700 Cost RM3.6k. The Battery can backup for 2day. But not necessary need. Given it optional, Cost can reduce to RM2.5K. Apa macam ? Do able? For me, Maybe get a micro solar heater for RM5K. But since you say can push back to the grid, if I can push back 1.5Kw - 2Kw a day to TNB, that also in another way contra off the usage |
