Yushin, meaning your inverter can just cut off the extra power generate from the panel if your load usage is less than the generated one?
Curious, if it a grid tie won't TNB force the owner to do it as NET metering. Again, say if it a grid tie and the extra power generated more than the consumption won't it be feed back to TNB? (or it is same as using the inverter Yushin mentioned?)
*
My inverter will send the extra power to battery.
At night the inverter will use battery first, if battery depleted then it will switch to TNB.

If under the following scenario, (example) say you mentioned current panel able to provide 1800w, and battery have already fully charged then next your current consumption only at 1500w. What happen to the 300w? Feed back to TNB or the inverter just make the panel circuit short and discard that 300w?

In this scenario, the panel will not be able to deliver the extra 300w. Panel will not short circuit. So in a way its discarded.
No energy will be delivered to TNB.

You need to apply for the NET in order to officially get on grid. TNB can't force you.

Yes, it will be feed back to TNB.

Noted, I think most of the inverter should have this kind of function etc. SMA....

Mind to share what brand of the inverter you are using?

Haha, meaning if not planning to feed back to TNB but want to have grid tie have to do if unofficially hmm.gif.

My opinion is that latest NET metering not as beneficial compare to FiT on the rate, with NET that Feed Back mean TNB is using our panel for free and we as owner have to fork out money for maintenance in the future.

The official brand of the type of inverter is call MPPsolar in Taiwan. I bought clone of it from taobao. Model is Victor NM tongue.gif

My opinion on NET metering is that its good to offset your electric bill that is more than 600kwh and you don't need to spend on large battery pack and extra electrical wiring.
Malaysia's power quality is good, we seldom get blackouts so the ability to go offgrid is not so critical.

Official unit will give you firmware update if you asked.

Both official and clone unit also has warranty. The problem is the cost to send a 13kg item back to China/Taiwan...

If you have the knowledge and skill, DIY is not really that hard.
It will involve rerouting the power on your house main DB tho so take note of that.

unusual...usually 7 to 12 years life.....did you put more panels than recommended ?

ask Schenider for repair ? i googled schneider inverter, and a few independent names came out. call them.

also consider insurance for your system.

sounds more like replacement than repair....how many kw is your inverter ?

actually, you can check with other suppliers and see how much they sell inverters...i use SMA and no complain so far.....no need to go to your existing vendor if he's expensive.

if you want to sell your broken down schneider inverter, let me know laugh.gif

Some over current protection component spoil in the pc board.

Cheaper solution is look for electronic repairman.

Normal for inverter lifespan.

Let see next week able to find back the name card. If I remember la.

They charge like 1/3 or half the actual repair cost. Pretty cheap.

I didn't use them anymore cause I need to warranty the customer. So rather just send it back to the manufacturing.

RM1.6k is ok for the repair price. Ask for period of warranty after repair.

Some will also send to 3rd party repair if the cause is simple and easy repair. (Also my reason try 3rd party repair).
