QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Oct 6 2011, 04:28 PM) hi i am jeyadev and i also sokong maddriver n reported one of the spammers here. Ok, see, at first he say its too short, so I asked him to explain lah. Then he said take a ruler and try to fit 8 cam lobes onto the ruler, without giving dimensions. He has mistaken the whole idea from the start, then don't bother asking ppl to use the Google and BRAIN!@ GEFORCEXTREME kcng is not your personal mechanic. he has repeatedly said, go and ask someone else, go and google. why are you still insisting that he and only he must explain to you? its obvious (at least to me) that he doesn't want to. @ kcng you're really living up to this thread title ... Clearly you've missed the USE THE BRAIN part. If it were you, you would have felt the same. Oh f***, nvm, I don't have to report to you man. Go side with whoever you wished. I care less. Added on October 6, 2011, 7:26 pmAnd another part, I actually wonder and take his heed and try to use logic, Google, and even asked my mech about the possibility of my idea. My mech says its possible, I Googled images and used logic and it looks possible YET I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HE SAID IT WAS TOO SHORT! Ended up he misinterpret the whole idea. That's fine, IF he didn't say USE YOUR BRAIN, LOGIC, AND THAT THE MALAYSIAN EDUCATION FAILED! Added on October 6, 2011, 7:29 pmIt's starting to become funny how ppl would side with ppl with more stars and begin the worshipping process. wuahahaha! I am of the humble view that when one makes a statement, he must be prepared to support it. There's no point in making a statement but when being queried, one tells the querier to think for themselves.
For an instance, in my daily line of work, i make statements, most times, i make statements in extremely contentious settings where every statement i make will be pondered upon, given serious thought and most likely there will be counter-statements. There are times where i have to make statement in full public gallery where every statement i make will be bombarded and queried upon by the related parties. Let say if im making a stand on a complex contractual matter and when I'm being queried on my stand, I don't tell the person on the bench or my learned friend, "look at the contracts act and think for yourself". I'm sure it wont be right for me to do so. Most of the time, I need to back up my statement or I'll lose my credibility and trust me, credibility is very important. It's about knowing what you say and saying what you know. When I say something and queried, I need to pinpoint the exact provision and to support my statement with decided precedents. Surely by telling my querier to employ their intellect to understand me is, as clear as the night follows the day, completely erroneous. While spoon feeding is prevalent in our education system, the problems associated with our education system is not mainly about students being spoon fed all the time. The quality of the educators is something to be considered too especially when the educator is unable to impart their knowledge. The better students are the ones who keep asking question and are thirsty for answer. That doesn't mean they are lazy, it just means they are inquisitive. They want to hear your answer so that they understand what you are trying to say to enable them to formulate their own opinion later. Having said all that, I believe the best educator is someone who allows you to formulate your own opinion, who leads you on the right path in your quest for knowledge, share their opinion and the reasons for it and respect one's idea regardless of how extraordinary it may seem. That is my 2cents. Trust me when I say that this thought is purely my own and has no reference to any person whether living or dead. Any resemblance to real persons either living or dead is purely coincidental. I believe that ideas are the catalyst for the advancement of human civilization. I believe that ideas should be encouraged no matter bizarre they are. I believe that ideas are neither silly nor stupid. I believe that ideas are impossible merely because the time is not right. I believe that ideas could change the very foundation of this world. I believe that some of the greatest ideas on earth encountered major resistance. and I believe that the greatest thing on earth started off as an idea. In Albert Einstein's words, "if at first, the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it". |
