Bro kc, that sentence was never meant as an insult I wasn't trying to be rude to you, just to say that the average guy, your "go pasar" type of people wouldn't like to drive those cars.

Btw, that is not the topic, the topic was you say that the SOHC camshaft is not long enough to fit the cam lobes.

Unless you post something useful, it's just pointless to say its not long.

the width of the lobes make it impossible to fit all 8 into one camshaft is it?

*cabut*

Then how do you think the 4g92p control all the 16 valves? Or do the 4g92p actually only have 12? or less? cool2.gif

dude......
understand more about engine...

it's not only the camshaft that is involved..
SOHC engine has rocker arms for all 16 valves...

so u tell me using your genius idea, how is it gonna be implemented, unless u are telling me
- cylinder 1 and 3 will be exhaust lobe
- cylinder 2 and 4 will be intake lobe

Not to say it should have exactly the same number of lobes, since by default 4g92 sohc have 12 cam lobes, the dohc have 16 lobes combined.

thats why i say... take a ruler and tell me if u can fit 8 exact width lobe in it or not...
then use the BRAIN to think about the logic.....

dude, i think u better google what is cam-lobe first....

at the same time... google the following
- rocker arm
- valves
- tappets

then try to piece them together to understand how all that work together....

This is pointless, what ruler? How long a ruler? 15 cm? 20 cm? 30 cm? 1 meter? 30 meters? What abou tthe width of the lobes, 1 cm? 2 cm? Or open up my engine and measure then try to fit?

Added on October 5, 2011, 10:25 pmPlease just explain la, and I don't totally understand what you mean by 1 and 4 intake? And cylinder 2 and 4 exhaust? How is this possible?
