Hi~ I'm a recent Graphic freelancer doing on projects, can I know market price for like bunting, brochure, website page, poster etc? Excluding printing la. I know a lot of ppl say see the time and effort put but its good to know agak agak market price so we as designer don put so low den market price for designer drop

Local market, from year to year, price drop from "1000" to "100" to "10" to Free.

1) depend on your client.
2) depend on your effort.
3) depend on your luck

Freelance for print -

A4/A5 (single face)
1) promotion, vochure, intake, shop open..etc RM 25-50.
2) Name card, small vochure, coupon etc RM 25.00- free. (cost charge in printing).
3) Banner, bill board etc RM 50.00 - RM 100.00
4) tracing or design Logo - RM 50.00 - RM 150.00

This is an price for printing, sometime the competitor make our company reduce the price of printing or free design. Depand on your client. If you don't take the jobs, other people also take it.

In printing field, got season of high & low. Before the perayaan, jobs come in. After the perayaan, less jobs.

woi stop dropping the price la, currently im desigining a logo worth RM500.

printing fields is like that, if u design for big coporate, u can charge high.

our market only for shoplot, tuition, distribution, harware & small business.
hard to survive.

haha i was wondering y cheap also. izit coz u get ur materials cheaper as printing shop? besides the obvious tat u guys small income customer group

u work at printing shop, normaly can get freelance job from client who don't have any idea of design. Yes, the pay are cheap, but sometime got alot of jobs, 1 month maybe can get 20-25 small job..... then total for the payment u received

Dulu, customer less in demand & complaint, but know hard to do. They alway want for free, less price, of discount.
but the job scope sometime easy sometime hard. depand on wat they want.

Pls note, sometime really tired to do, i figure i may stop/reject....
but if u pass over the jobs to other (don't want to take the jobs), mean u lose your client.
So, next time the client won't back for u, unless your offer r great.

I currently design a Logo for this event company....only for RM150
but the design also 'cheap' la.

Design logo is the hardest thing to design. but they all think its a 'easy' thing and place a cheap price. aiyaaa~

dont countermeasure your charges with that coming frmo the printing shops. printing shops' charges are really low coz they dont emphasize on designs. i've worked in that field before and the reason i quit was beacuse there were no design aesthetics being out in it. now im a graphic designer/freelancer.
the normal rate for logo design is minimum RM300 without any complementaries. that's the lowest a graphic designer should charge. if they're trying to lawball u, you can either go with it and do a senseless design or just look for other clients. decision is all up to you. but just don't drag down the market price.
