MikroTik’s IPv6 not fully ready yet, it doesn’t have fasttrack enabled yet, my hAP AC2 can run 839mbps with few percent CPU load, but run at much slower with IPv6 on and CPU load 100%

Also, Unifi’s IPv6 is still not stable as IPv4, my ping plotter test with Facebook’s IPv6 will have few pings dropped in only 50 pings test, not sure about other ISP.

I will leave it off until both of them solved the current problems.

Hi, can recommend which model support unifi 500mbps and 800mbps?

Preferably lowest power consumption.

Thank you.

RB750Gr3 or hAP ac2 will do, but if you need IPv6 running at full 800mbps speed then you might need RB4011, or Ubiquiti ER-X

oh dear you serious? their wireless implementation is bad? argh. I was having trouble with the quick setup. but after I got it going using manual setup. so far no complain from the family I gifted it.

I went with just one ambience as it is only a double storey semi-D. I think it is over kill, but since it as mesh, I figured maybe it might be upgradable eventually. Furthermore, the internet connection for the family is at 30mbps... so it is definitely over kill. <I suggested to upgrade to 100mbps if TM or Maxis give good offer >

I got it at rm 599 - for the ambience. so I think ok lah. <<I have no idea why it is so cheap... seem like cheaper then RRP>>> competition from Xiaomi and others??

Some anti-virus has network scanning test, it's normal

From the Apple App Store. It's just the iPad version which the new M1 Macs can install.

Why don’t u try to update to latest stable software and firmware, then set cpu frequency to auto and see if the heat reduce or not, it will drop to 400MHz+ for most of the time, less power consumed and less heat.

IPQ4018 isn’t high performance cpu, I don’t think a fan will get u any benefit but only cause more dust, not a good move I must say.
