yeah, i drove saga before, but using NA tank...haisehhh...not good feel mah.
and of coz, UK spec tank is RARE..hehehe

u can ask for welding, but using brass or alloy oxy-acytelene welding (gas welding).
same brass/alloy welding for air-cond system.u cannot use normal welding...ok

small leaking is driveable, but with scared feeling loh...how if your tank catch fire? OMG...repair fast lor

epoxy thing is not last longer...it's for temporary solution only, go for welding anyway

Best cheapest solution is welding.

But do b prepared to identify where d leak is, empty d tank or even remove d whole tank first b4 u pass it over to d welder.

you are right to wash it first. Petrol fumes left behind can also explode...... ohmy.gif

saw in mythbuster they purposely lit the fuel tank, no explosion.

however the leaked fuel still can burn.

for welding, you can go to the body repair /kedai ketok workshops. they should be able to help on the welding or even better drain petrol, remove tank, weld, put back for you.

yes, tank can burn, but may not exploded due to no pressure inside(do not close tank inlet/outlet) but prevention action is always good.

for the patah screw, usually mech always have thier way to fix it...dont worry.

Yes, prevention is always better as you won't know what will happen.
Well, my friend's son hurt before, as he torched open a 40 gallon drum in half. The drum was used to store petrol, and was already drained and with small cover opened, but still exploded...... sad.gif

the original fuel pump for uk spec is a big size fuel pump like nissan (not like wira/satria)
maybe u already change it b4 because of faulty fuel pump... if the 3 screws (pelampung area ) is faulty, u need to check whether the leaking is coming from there.. used paper gasket.. 3 4 layer

joefbi n gagak84 : FYI...my fuel pump changed be4 becoz the original pump no function already...changed to a small fuel pump a year ago n pomen claimed that is a perdana fuel pump...i'm forget to take the picture...my car jerk if petrol almost empty..becoz the current fuel pump not fully attach to the bottom of the fuel pump mounting..this is what pomen told me lar..that y i am thinking what fuel pump can suitable fit in uk spec fuel pump mounting n i want to change it..

*my engine :4g13 with MMC injection..that's all...no modified2 coz be4 that using jasma hicam/Adjustable pulley/FICD..it was totally cannot adapt...engine keep on stall...rpm need to adjust near to 2000 to maintain it...open air cond rpm drop till 500 even with FICD...so eventually i changed all back to standard...

Added on September 25, 2011, 8:46 pmwell..my tank is welded...but...the fuel pump cover only manage to screwed 4..the other 1 is patah...so now..when i fill up full tank...the petrol vomit back from the fuel pump cover..(pentagon shape)...got any other way to repair the screw head? or any other solution?? please help... icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif
