ROFLMAO! It's all about the Dollar! Boy's N Girls!

When the world panic.. they all jumped to US treasuries!

Hopefully, we can see Crude hit $80 by end of this week or early next week,
then I'm long again. biggrin.gif

thumbup.gif Some news for all....

Overview/Top Headlines

- At the market open EUR/USD open down over 80 pips from Friday close after EU Finance Ministers failed to emerge with a solid proposal on Friday and reports surfaced over the weekend saying that the EU had warned Greece that the next aid tranche is at risk if Greece does not take further steps. Greece PM Papandreou cancelled his trip to the UN and is holding a cabinet meeting today to consider additional austerity steps for continued international bailout funds. USD gained about 80 pips against the Swiss Franc and almost 120 pips against the A$. Asian equity markets had a day of steady losses on the renewed risk aversion and the fresh wave of concern over Europe’s inability to find a concrete solution for debt issues. Gold traded up, front month silver decoupled falling 0.4% in the session.

- Former Vice PBoC Gov Wu Xiaoling said China economy will cool at quicker pace in 2012 because of EU sovereign debt crisis, slower global recovery and property tightening measures. “Currently, China’s economy faces inflationary pressures as well as pressures on government debt, which means we cannot go down the road of expanding both credit and fiscal spending.” Chinese press speculated that non-performing loans for China banks may rise as much as 5% in 2011. China reported August new home prices, showing in increase in all 70 cities measured, up from 68 in July. Shanghai Aug new home prices +2.8% y/y, +2.5% m/m; Existing Home prices +3.7% y/y. Beijing Aug new home prices +1.9% y/y, flat m/m; Existing home prices +1.9% y/y.

- Japan Econ Min Furukawa said the Government will announce interim plans to deal with strong Yen early this week. Support for companies struggling with strong Yen and low-interest loans to small and medium sized companies expected to be part of the measures.

- German Chancellor Merkel’s CDU party defeated by centre-left opposition Social Democrats in Berlin State Elections, a small increase in support compared to last election in 2006. Merkel’s CDU won 23.4%, a gain in comparison to the 21.3% five years ago (in the 1980s the part usually secured 40%+ of the vote).

icon_rolleyes.gif Technically…

– Petronas Chemicals Group (PCHEM MK; RM6.05, Sell) – Hanging by a thread.

– Multi-Purpose Holdings (MPU MK; RM2.59, Sell) – Below all its key moving averages.

– Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE MK; RM6.13, Sell) – More downside ahead.

how to settle?

German lends money to Greece so that Greece can pay German back.

Greece gets more debt and interest charge by German.
