yup , sppp - good strings... topspin cyber blue also - good strings...
alot of these days co poly are very nice .. do a hybrid with a cheap synthetic..  its nice...  dont need to spend so much on expensive co poly 's like rpm and lux i feel.. most of the cheaper ones are as good i feel..
*
for those who has cost as their priority but want the advantage that poly provides, hybrid-ding is good, but you may need to experiment with the cheap synthetic gut. Some syn gut is comfortable at the go, but some like head syn gut pps might take some time to get used to.

For stringers, hybrid or full synthetic is such a pleasant experience .. hehe..
i did a few hybrids this past few days and its so much nicer to string compared to full setup of poly which is a pain in the ass.. haha

Added on January 10, 2012, 10:32 amI'll be using hybrid from now on already.

the non-textured polys are easy to string. most of the time, it's the textured poly that is the pain in the ass (finger). textured and stiff is a bad combo for stringers.

QUOTE(praetorian @ Jan 10 2012, 09:19 AM)
Nothing plays like Ashaway Kevlar....I have tried different types of aramid kevlar strings from Forten,Pro Supex,Prince,Kutkje (sp) some wrap the fibres differently than Ashaway and the feeling is not the same at all....if you want to try something really great....I highly recommend Ashaway Kevlar in the mains and a NON textured poly (ie smooth string, no hexagonal, diamond, poly) as they will cut really fast into the kevlar.....I dunno how low/high you string,go down a few pounds.....the ball pocketing and the spin and power is unreal.....
*
QUOTE(k3vin82 @ Jan 10 2012, 09:47 AM)
I think what prae says is true.. the feel of kevlar is different. I've moved away from that and loved soft co poly strings which generate more spin and power to my shots.
Maybe u can try inv's pro supex strings like blue gear ultimatum spin which is superb in biting the ball.. or other textured poly's ... put it with low tension (45-50) cos if with high tension , u are not able to pocket the ball i feel..  just my opinion.. ...
*
QUOTE(praetorian @ Jan 10 2012, 09:57 AM)
If you want a poly that pockets the ball well....try Signum Pro Poly Plasma......for a poly and at medium tension say 48-52 lbs this string has amazing ball pocketing for a poly set up. Another string that has great pocketing is Luxilon Big Banger XP....but I use this string at 45 lbs....hehehehe....but its very easy to manipulate the racket head and I can re-direct power to almost anywhere I want.
*
Hmmm.. I'm always worried about switching strings. Have tried ALU rough and ALU Power Rough before... somehow didn't just make the cut (or is it because I've been playing with kevlar almost forever)....

I'm kinda feeling that crossing kevlar with poly.... erm... how do i get such a combo? Buy Crossfire II, buy ALU Rough, and string? WOWZZ $$$$$

Also, I mean, i've tried soft polys like black code and red code before... didn't seem as ~soft as what I thought it would be.. wouldn't string kevlar AND poly be kinda like kicking the edge a little bit?

ok ma, xfire ii + alu rough... you get 1 set of xfire+alu rough and another set of alu rough+syn gut. it would be pricy, but i dun think it's such a good idea.

Thanks for the offer bro, but I find the Youtek series a little too stiff for me.

So I was using the Flexpoint Rad. Anything in the market that is perhaps a little heavier? Perhaps 330gm strung, but not too stiff. I normally play baseline. No Babolats for now, they're so stiff.

Oh, I called a couple of shops, the new Head and Wilson line are arriving around CNY or early February. Apparently no change in RRP for Wilson.

I tested the Tour Team, not bad honestly. It's one to think about. Moreover with the Buy 1 Free 1 promotion.
