Hi guys, I would like to ask Malaysian seafarers who have been working for some time on board, what do you do to apply for bank loans for housing and investment? since our salary is not taxable, in this case what is the solution? because bank will be asking for income tax statement and without that it is almost inadmissible, same to applying for credit cards

The first page explains quite well, Captain is the highest rank onboard, if u join as deck officer. U have to start as deck cadet first, from here u will slowly progress up the ranks, till u become captain. There are 2 well know academies in malaysia producing cadets, Sarawak maritime academy, and Malaysian Maritime academy(Alam).

what is the qualification to work as seafarer? above 30 can?

im working onboard local company , offshore supply vessel. we do pay tax, no issue with loan as long your CTOS score is good.

since your age already exceed the minimum age to join as cadet. the only option you have is to join as rating, collect your seatime , and do 6 months courses for WKO or WKE. then you will get your COC .

details please how to register to wko or wke. After get coc confirm can get work as seafarer?

U need to attend courses basic training , and security awareness. Then u need to sail as os or able bodied atleast 2 year seatime before you can enroll for wko or wke which class is about 6 month. And you have few courses under stcw u need to attend before. Then seat for oral examination at marine department. Once you pass , u will get you coc. Either ur wko or wke.. but this path you will be anble to get near coastal coc instead of foreign going coc.

Sure can. I had stpm cert when applying. They didnt even look at it. Just use your Spm cert.

Can. But i wouldnt recommend leaving MNC for this career. Its a step down. Not up.

Same,I got an email from ALAM in May saying I've been shortlisted for cadetship and Eaglestar is my potential sponsor.ill be interviewed online tomorrow on 6 July.Btw I'm 18 years old currently and a 2019 SPM leaver.
