i9100g is different. I don't think those will work. Problem is he flash i9100 rom/kernel onto i9100g.

Wow there is really very little info on this "g" model. Why is digi selling it instead of the normal i9100? Do you have any luck getting your device to boot yet?

Did you flash back your original kernel or did you found one that can root your phone?

Added on September 27, 2011, 9:16 amOur device home button got double tap function to activate voice command. So when you press once it is waiting and see if got second press. Thats why slow. And that is also why you get voice command if you accidentally press twice.

Try disabling double tap function in settings > motion.

If your device is rooted there is also a fix to increase home button response time in xda.

Added on September 27, 2011, 10:19 amHey, i think you better upgrade siyah kernel to 1.7.2 if you have not. A few people reported the same case on 1.7 where suddenly device hang when using. 1.7.2 suppose to fix that.

Added on September 27, 2011, 2:48 pmi9100g firmware is different. You got KH4 (2.3.4). Normal i9100 got KH2 and now KI2 both still 2.3.3.
Its best you install kies and see if there is any update for your phone. Maybe KI4 if that's how the numbering goes.

Still dual core but thats may explain why rooting with i9100 kernel fails cos processor different.

I wrote down my IC, name and tel also just in case. Anyway after a few days call back samsung to confirm it is registered. Also keep your receipt. The samsung guy tell me even after register if go warranty claim still need receipt.

Can just ask someone with i9100g to type the specs at the back of the box.

Quadrant is not so important. Its not like your device is going to be as slow as turtle.

For me the lack of rom/kernel support would have made me sadder. Good thing i bought from digi last month.

There should be 2 receipts. 1 for the smart plan advance payment and 1 for the phone. The receipt for the phone got IMEI number on it. Better go back and check. The digi salesperson told me any problem go find samsung NOT digi.

You should go back and demand receipt. Even if registered I think samsung will still ask for purchase receipt to confirm the date you bought.

Just tried open browser go youtube change to desktop version, search for HD video and played without any problem.
