using ps3 xbm

it may be overheat problem bro , send your ps3 to any gameshop for fan cleaning , may be got lot of dust at the fan ventilation

" what a waste " should be for those who JB their PS3

did you upgrade it to fw4.11 ?

1. try with other HDMI cable
2. turn off your PS3 , then press ( keep holding ) the power button until hear 2nd beep sound , your PS3 should detect HDMI cable and the best output resolution for it , press OK then follow the menu

try borrow your friend HDMI cable and see how ..

any hdmi will do bro , all same .. v1.3b or v1.4 should be the best

seriously YLOD repair are useless , back up all data while the console can last at least 30 mins .. go buy brand new PS3 slim , transfer all old data to new PS3 slim

the CPU between phat and slim are totally different , the latest ps3 slim model are 3000 series which use 45nm cell - 40nm rsx which run 200 watt max .. here are some guide regarding ps3 slim models

CECH-2000 ** 45nm cell / 65nm rsx - 250 watt max
CECH-2100 ** 45nm cell / 40nm rsx - 250 watt max
CECH-2500 ** 45nm cell / 40nm rsx - 250 watt max
CECH-3000 ** 45nm cell / 40nm rsx - 200 watt max

the most important here is , console always get good air ventilation .. ps3 phat may be need once a year maintainance , ps3 slim i dont think so cause the percentage of YLOD considered as " rare ".. the hardware also much more reliable plus less heat

same with me prefer blu-ray disc compare to download ...

update to latest firmware boss .. if not you wont able to play latest games + access Playstation Network that required latest firmware

i dont think so , 720gb should be the biggest capacity that can fit into ps3 system
