hi hi arul94 , everything is nice and awesome . diff people will tell u diff answer . to me uniten has the best facility and best lecturer (if u managed to ask seniors who is the right lecturer to take) .

i would recommend you to stay in campus for foundation years , after foundation u can live out of campus if u hv trsnsport . for me i choose to stay outside after foundation years . both amanah and cendi hostel is in good condition .

classes for foundation has been prepared , so u dont have to waste time arranging it and i think it is fixed . its normal to hv class starting from 8am till 5pm for foundation years . after naik degree then u can managed by your own smile.gif

overall , uniten to me has the best facility and lecturers . seniors help a lot determine which lecturers to take for your own good .

i see..
one more thing , how is the lifestyle there in the campus ?
u ur self is a student in what course bro ?

what I did heard, the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) certify the competent Electrical Engineer from this course only. Plusmore, nowadays if u want to work with Malaysia Electrical Company and TNB , this competence certificate is needed. If you is under electric electronic maybe the difficulties lvl to find a job is hard. I dont know in the future.

Like now, many engineers inside TNB themselves, which in Bachelor EE need to go to ILSAS every weekend to learn what they left out in Electrical power course to get the competence certificate. Otherwise, they need to find other company which not required this certificate. icon_rolleyes.gif

y r u guyz asume dat arul94 wants to major in electrical power? E&E major also has its own strength, in communication, electronics, control & instrumentation, etc. I know many EE working in tnb, intel, altera, sony, maxis, huawei, etc. Besides, students major in EE has wider career scope compared to EP.

Yeah i am quite confused with uniten in offering courses here..
Actually i would like to do major in computer & communication..
So i would like to ask , if i take foundie in EE can i proceed my degree in computer & comm ?
Or i have to proceed with degree in EE as well ?
Cuz as far as i concern others uni is offering foundation in engineering (general ) then only decide the pathway unlike Uniten they have specific the foundie courses like foundie in EE , foundie in mechi etc.

The competency that u r refering to is the acknowledgment that u have the skill sets to operate or handle a machine/system/procedure. rolleyes.gif This competency cert is normally obtained after completing a specialized course, regardless major in EE or EP. Oh yeah, btw, I believe. notworthy.gif

I agree. smile.gif doesnt matter foundie in EE/ME/CE/EP. subjects are the same. you can still change major when applying for degree. they ask u to select major in foundie so that they can estimate n control the no. of intake in each major. comm & comp is a new major. maybe they will ask u to choose btw foundie in EE or CC during registration. u can ask them, no worries. thumbup.gif

i dont think there is a uni out there that tells the students to think inside the box. so, the education in both uni is pretty much the same. but since u r goin to major in electrical power, why dont u choose the uni that has strong links with power companies and has more facilities & research projects in this field.
