QUOTE(yok70 @ Apr 15 2013, 10:10 PM) Is it bad? 7.7%? The expectation was 8%. So disappointment means sell. Dunno about HKSE, I'm looking at the China 25 ETF (FXI), which is the proxy for it. Good time for support at 35. Almost there. These people are crazy. Where do you think the HKSE could rebound (strongly)? I am guessing 20,500. As 20,000 should have strong support?.... |

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Apr 15 2013, 11:24 PM) No, but this one is a rare opportunity. Gold smackdown.. just join the bear for raid and plunder.Very profitable. Much more than those buyers of physical gold who had been accumulating for the past 18 months thinking gold will get to $2K, now all under water. |

QUOTE(countdown @ Apr 16 2013, 11:12 AM) Dear guys n gals, need your help on confirmation. Trading in and out frequently, the profit gained is considered as Capital Gain right? So need not to pay any tax and need not to file any tax right? or it's taxable based on tier basis? For US stock and if you've filed W8-BENDividend which is an Income Gain is taxable? Thank you a) Yes, NO tax on cap gain for non-us residents who is NOT physically presence in US more than 183 days in a year. b) Yes, they will withhold divi earned (up to 30%) but you can claim back by filing 1080NR the following year, lowest effective rate is still 15%. No tax treaty between US and Malaysia exist, so tax rate reduction divi for Malaysians does not exist. |

QUOTE(Myoswee @ Apr 16 2013, 07:52 PM) Yeah... I missed this move yesterday because I was too busy making money off GLD... Now, maybe can play a little bounce or all out short if break 419. Seeing premarket now at high 423. Look at Mar 1 to April 15 chart. Head and Shoulders formation complete. If breaks, I expect it will slide quickly to 380 and next level will be 360. Another possible -$40-$80 from here. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Apr 17 2013, 08:33 AM) When you revised downwards, the stocks already take a beating in the first place. Then when hit, it rallies back, so back to square True... when the rating agency or analyst revised their earnings projection, that almost equal to a downgrade. So, the market will move it down by the sellers. If the company beats the revised earnings, they will rally back to the original price or more if the beat is like a crush. It is also about the market expectation. If they beat on bottom and top, usually market will rally... OR sometimes, if the price already rise to the point where it was already expecting good earnings.. and even if the company beats, they will SELL into the news. It's almost like a rigged game. QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Apr 17 2013, 07:36 PM) Wonderful Business. Not just KO, most consumer staples type of stocks been trending higher for the past two months. They're rotating from risky commodities into safety type with dividends ones. Commodities got whacked.. next I think will basic materials if the building constructions continue to show slower growth in their upcoming monthly report. But probably those commodity holder panic sales and move into equity market already. You sell most of the blue chips getting higher and higher. People treat as safe heaven for parking money. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Apr 17 2013, 08:56 PM |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Apr 18 2013, 12:17 AM) Apple is the next Nokia in share price first before the reality actually happen. or.. perhaps AAPL is the next Blackberry? Who's the smart one now? Anyway, I'm all out of PUTs at 400 overnight. Saw a double bounce and the third, I'm out. Hate to see it all taken back because there were indeed buyers and catching the 400 bids from here. Rode from 417.. right at open... gained approx 16 pts. I think enough for me for now. |
