All three major indexes are still technically bearish. But, looking at the advance/decline
and internals, there seems to be underlying bid to keep prices here and no major selloff.

Perhaps it is low volume week (US market off Thursday evening and half day on Friday).
SP500 (much broader than Dow) is at 1188, smacked right in the middle (50% retracement) from 1292 (oct 21 high).

I think we may will see some consolidation here for a week or so before any major move.

I don't like the big gap up (caused by short covering).. but tonight we better have a follow-thru on 2nd day otherwise this rally is just another head fake to lure in the bulls.  wink.gif
*
I guess you wont mind the gap up on AAPL tongue.gif

It is a BS rally.. this market is very short term.  I suspect by Friday, we'll sell off into the job numbers.
Time to lock in some profits tonight.  laugh.gif

Actually, It was a good day to contra (at least for me).

Loaded up some puts at around 1265.. exit around 1250. ~15 pts gain.
Classic end of the day exit, the run back up to 1257 is short covering.

Repeat tomorrow.. then by late Tuesday session or early Wednesday evening session, I think we'll sell off.

Getting ready for MM to take down the market with more bad news.

As a trader, the short answer is yes, because that's how they use this as excuse to move the market.

Everything was fine and dandy since last week (coordinated loan, and China relax on restriction).. but somehow, they'll come up with some excuses to pull it back down and this may be it.

Tread lightly..  wink.gif

Yes, it is.. but the funds are buying any dips and not letting this rally fail. The last hour today saw some major
buying.. almost 15 pts surged into close.

Managed to score half of my puts only and now the rest are evenly squared up.  mad.gif

Let see how tomorrow goes.. if it closes above 1265 with volume, I'm going for long.

I even worse

Got stop out in the morning session mad.gif

Now have to re-enter back

Lets hope no massive gap up tonight

Or Gap down even better tongue.gif

Found some Interesting article

Quek Leng Chan’s bet on the US airline industry has proven to be a costly gamble after AMR Corp — the parent company of American Airlines and regional carrier American Eagle — filed for bankruptcy protection in late November.

Just three months after Quek bought a 7.3% stake in August, the value of his original US$92 million (RM290 million) stake plunged by as much as 93% — from the US$3.78 share price level to a historic low of US$0.26.

Lost 93% LOL

I will cry out loud tongue.gif
