I am actually looking forward to this MSI Wind U270 with Brazos 2.0 APU. Unfortunately, the price isn't very attractive.

I'll say faster than the old Zacate E-450 since it has a bump in clock speed and the HD7340 is about 10% faster than the HD6320 it's replacing.

This particular model, the selling price in Japan of about 46,800 yen or RM1800.

I see.. Can't expect much..

Well yeah, it is kind of expensive..

But then again, the pricing there is always higher than what we can get here.
*
You're maybe right about that.
We will just see how much cheaper when it gets here then.

It's a copy paste from a price list.
Didn't stated the exact model of the GPU.
By right it should be GT640M LE.
A bit confused whether its a kepler or a fermi.
GT640M kepler usually fitted with DDR3, only the rare ones got DDR5.
Not sure whether GT640M LE Kepler got DDR5 version or not. hmm.gif

M5-481TG updated twice in the 14" price list at 1st and last place.

It should come with i5-3317UM + Nvidia GT640M LE (Kepler) as per chinese website
http://bbs.gatewayfans.com/thread-40987-1-1.html

28nm Kepler GT640M LE is the low power option of GT640M for thin and light laptop such as M5-481TG (14" Ultrabook).

Beware, there are 3 version of GT640M  rclxub.gif
28nm kepler GT640M - Acer M3-581TG, Inspiron SE 14R & 15R
28nm kepler GT640M LE- Acer M5-481TG
40nm Fermi GT640M LE (rebranded GT550M) - Lenovo Y480

Relative performance should be
GT640M >GT640M LE (Kepler) =GT635M >GT640M LE(Fermi) = GT550M

Why they always like to fool the user by rebranding GPU to clear their old stock.   shakehead.gif
*
Yup, looking at the scores, it is definitely not a fermi.

What confused me is the Memory.

Do take note that GT 640M got two version, one with DDR3 and another one with DDR5.

Does this mean that the GT 640M LE kepler also got two version(DDR3 & DDR5)?

Means that the one in M5 is a GT 640M LE DDR5(lower core clock but higher memory clock than the GT640M DDR3). hmm.gif

There are two version of GT640M LE kepler with DDR3 or DDR5.  biggrin.gif

Yup seen it before.
But thought it could be referring to a GT640M LE Fermi DDR5. (example on the Y480)

Guess there are two version for GT640M LE Kepler's then.

These are getting more confusing. Damn Nvidia. tongue.gif
