Main considerations:

Weight: less than 2kg, the lighter the better
Budget: less than RM3,000
Usage: office use
Specifications: full spec

Thanks.

Hi.

I heard that the Asus N55Sf-S2043v is replaced by N55SF-S2187V. But the color wise, is it still only black is available?

How about Dell Vostro 3350/3450? hmm.gif
Vostro 3350, i5-2430M + AMD HD6490@RM2636[2.04kg], W7HB, backlit keyboard, Belkin HDMI cable, Belkin Radius 15.6" Backpack
Vostro 3450, i5-2430M + AMD HD6630@RM2577, W7HB,backlit keyboard, Belkin HDMI cable, Belkin Radius 15.6" Backpack

The 3350 (13") is smaller and lighter, but its weaker in terms of specifications (GPU) and sound quality.

As for design, its all down to user preferences I would say laugh.gif These Vostro comes in 3 colors, grey/red/bronze

hey guys!
whats the difference between asus n45sf and n55sf besides the screen size?
other specs are same..
does it mean n55sf (15.6") is the wiser choice?
my budget is around that price

There are 2 variants of the N55sf, but I guess you're referring to the i5 variant (RM2799)
The i5 variant of the N55sf rather weirdly has a HD+ (1600x900) matte screen, which is considered as a steal.
So if you're okay with a 15" laptop, then the N55sf (i5) would be the one to pick thumbup.gif

A RM2-3k laptop cannot play games in 3D unfortunately laugh.gif
Your best pick at the moment would be the HP Dv6 nod.gif

HP Dv6-6001TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770@RM3499 [2.63kg]; Beats headphones *RM3k without Beats

I checked in the store and also based on Asus catalogue, the screen display is 1366X768 only. Is the 1600X900 available as an option ?

One of the store tried to promote the Asus N53 to me. He said the N53 is Aluminum frame so will not have problem long term as with the N55 plastic frame (which would have plastic worn off problem). Is that true ? How old is the N53 model already, anyone ?

Dear sifus. Recommendation needed.

1. Preferred Brand
- None

2. Budget
- Max RM2,000

3. Usage
- General web browsing
- General video viewing
- General word processing / Excel
- No gaming
- Used by girl who is a banker

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
- 14-15 inch

5. Additional requirement
- Light
- Not netbook
- i5
- 4gb ram
- Most importantly VALUE FOR MONEY

One item that has caught my eye is the HP Pavilion g4-1204ax. Looks like a good deal. I've checked Acer and Dell for similar specs. Any other recommendations?
