Am considering DELL Latitude E5420 with Intel Core i5-2520M (approx. RM3200+) and 8GB RAM.  Only 2 cores but I suppose the CPU support for VT-d and 7200rpm HDD should somewhat help.

On the other hand, Asus A43SA-VX084V with Intel Core i7-2670QM (approx. RM3100+) and 8GB RAM has 4 cores but without VT-d, TxT and only 2 years support. 

I suppose more cores and memory will be better when running multiple virtual machines on the ASUS laptop but I like the fact that the DELL comes with 3 years NBD support and as a business class laptop, it "should" have better build quality and is more robust as a result.

hurm, if i look at the specs... purely the specs... i can see that both have the same processor but the hp dv6 has a higher RAM. also, the dv6 has  the 6770M graphics which in my opinion is slightly better (or maybe the effect is negligible) then the GTX 560M...

but the plus for the asus is it has 2 hdd slots so i could upgrade in the future... still, cant actually see how the asus preforms better than the hp...

but... ARGH!!! the asus design is way way better then the hp design... hate it when i need to make these sort of decisions... huhu...

I was recommended Asus (of all brand, lol) N55SF, the Rm3999 one. Comparing to the G55SX of the same price, these two have similair spec, 'cept for the graphic card. GT555M vs GTX560M

Considering the long lasting usage factor, I mean without the parts spoiling too fast, and also the fan, (cooling and cleaning) which is better?

2. Budget 2.2 -> 2.5 max
3. Usage : need good proc to support my 3d design software (solidwork
,catia) and mid entry gaming (BF3...???)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 14 - 15
5. warranty : at least 2 year.

if i'm not satisfied, better i build new desktop with my 2.5k budget since my laptop dead last week... haizz...~

so, i can conclude

1) for gaming and a longer laptop life would be asus.
2) but if just for minor gaming and more movies and series would go for hp as it is full hd as compared to the asus?
