One of the way I test is at the phone's setting page. When I scroll up and down it doesn't scroll smoothly as before with other kernel. Other places too, like in Watchdog running apps list. etc etc etc
i have no lagginess doing both that, maybe its rom related also? what rom ur using? running cognition 1.5.0 speedmodt27

IMEI lost usually due to conflicts when cotinually chnging kernel n roms. so is good n must say compulsory to keep a bckup of imei not too sure how such can happen but it does happen at times refr page 1 post 6 just use the app to do it which is eaiest no brainer method imei lost means simcard cannot be detcted at all so no more phone function usually reflashing stock rom cannot revive it. only service center can do it if you have an imei backup just 1 second you restore it back
i ever encounter this before...that time first time flash with litening 4.0 and going to litening 5.0 if not mistaken..and found out that it only happened when i reboot the phone with charger connected...without charger connected, it's fine..will backup imei folder anyway soon.

Read first page. There is an app recommended to backup and restore.

Experiencing scroll-lag with SpeedMod kernel (both old and new version).
Scrolling was smooth in other kernel like stock or ninphetamine (but ninphetamine cause me auto reboot).
Anyone having the same problem I had with SpeedMod?
I find scrolling speed more related to rom used. With either kernel there are times when you notice a slight lag. Speed mod give me better battery life. Now trying out rage mod cos it comes with the original rom I just flash.

According to the description from the creator of RageMod. The base of the kernel is from SpeedMod and added with feature like UV/OV, UC,OC, etc.. So my guess is the battery life and smoothness will be quite the same (if no UV/UC, etc)

Well yeah. But since the cpu control and uv for the rom I am using is build around this kernel so I am trying it out.
So how was your battery life before this while you were on the old ROM?
Battery life was good for me. Hard to give evaluation as everyone uses their device differently. It is the same rom just different build. Previously touch rom kh3 now touch rom kg5. In terms of kernel speed mod seems better for battery saving but only slightly.
cheap one? andida can get for rm30 from hye, i use so far no prob
