Hi E1,

I would like to connect my iPod Touch to my car. My car only has an AUX input. Would you please recommend me a good cable to make this connection and if there is anyway to enhance the sound further. Also, how and where can I buy this?

Thanks

does the latest batch of e10 still have such problem? inserting both ends of the port, it will produce some ...... sound? thinking of getting one, but need some advice.. i'll be using it with my pc desktop using creative gigaworks t20 speaker and thinking of buying a superlux hd660 or hd669 to pair with e10. currently i'm using a usb dac, PCM2704.

or you guys have something better to introduce?? TQ..

hey guys, I'm currently looking for a DAC/amp for my laptop/iPad. the first brand I've read great reviews about is fiio. so I was wondering if anyone could contrast the e7 / e10 / e17 for me - in terms of SQ produced and potential price? my budget's at about 500+

Only had 2 warranty exchanges from the very first batch of 10 and none from subsequent batches. For the difference, it is only fair for Nordingh as a user of both units to comment.

For both laptop and iPad, the FiiO E10 is out. Can't connect to iPad. Left with only the E7 (16bit/48kHz) and E17 (24bit/192kHz). Since you have the budget, go with the E17 then.

OK.. my 1st unit have a bit issue that sometime have some noise even without any song played.

The replacement unit work perfectly now.

I did test by inserting both end.

1. headphone output to earphone
2. lineout to CMOY and to headphone.

Normal for me.

E10 is only a DAC. So Cmoy act at the amp
*
The FiiO E10 is a DAC/Amp. Bro Nordingh is using the DAC of the E10 via the line out at the back to the CMoy amp. It is just his preference for the Cmoy amp's signature.

When use line out at the back, volume have no function. That's why I use CMOY to control the volume and for AMP.

To be honest, that my setup now. I use CMOY as AMP as I already upgrade the opamp. I need a clean output from E10 DAC and won't use crappy notebook sound card.

Yes you're right... I use both DAC only (line out) and DAC/AMP (headphone out with volume) sometime.

I see, so does it mean double amping?

Got pic? smile.gif

not double amp... I say I use line out... mean bypass E10 internal amp, only use DAC section.

i actually want a dac/amp or amp with a volume knob with both line out and headphone out, so that i can adjust the volume easily.

err.. since i'm using a usb pcm2704 dac with my speakers now and if i were to buy e10 and use the line out for my speaker, will i gain any improvement?? or i should just go for an amp instead and connecting it to my dac?

e10 might be better, if you have 14 bit audio files around, and it sure is more powerful than the pcm,or maybe get an 17 and later e9 for even better power

Line out normally don't have volume...

you should know this:
The signal out or line out remains at a constant level, regardless of the current setting of the volume control. You can connect recording equipment to line out and record the signal, without having to listen to it through the device's speaker, and without the loudness of the recording changing if you change the volume control setting of the device while you are recording.

There is a standard need to follow if want to put line out in any device.
