i've tried triple amping before (when i first started to know more about sounds).. ipod > hippo box+ > ibasso d2+..
just dont notice that difference even i think there is loss of sound..but i do this coz i want to use bass gain from hippo box coz d2 dont have a bass gain setting..but its to bulky like have clas+amp  |

it was awesome!!!!... haha now i cant use my earphone without it...
using sennheiser cx380 with it.. sound nice and usually i went to full volume.. now only up to 60-70% so it does save battery of my device |

A noob question to any experienced user, can i use fiio e7 as an amp to power a pair of speaker through a dvd player via usb?

Not sure if your Sony model does have a dock out as well, you can use the FiiO L5. Without LOD, FiiO E6 using the you will only get much improved bass performance.
