can anybody enligthen me about tyres here.
as we know myvi are front wheel drive car and front tyre will faster wear than rear tyre, correct me or not.
but my rear tyre have uneven wear were the mechanic say my tyre have wave like wear. suspect of carrying heavy load constantly.
i seldom carry heavy load except for 2 pair of shoe and safety triangle.
how it happen. ask me to change the tyre even have alot of thread.
mileage 41k

Uneven wear is not due to carrying heavy load. It's more to do with your suspensions. Ask your mechanic to check them.

uneven wear bcus balancing not done correctly or maybe the small metal thing inside ur rim terbang from the rim already, that leads to the wheel out of balance... Wheel not balance, tire makan tak sama, ur tyre surface jadi ombak2

Hello Cloud,

The sound u can hear is when your engine and everything off or when your engine is running + driving?

i chatted with one of the perodua SA, his previous gen myvi had real nice 17" rims. he said he changed the springs to make the car lower as well but had to cut the mudflap a bit to make space @_@

For sure your FC is going to be affected. Because of the additional weight and wider tyres.
Using the low profile tyre, have to be wary of the Malaysia Boleh potholes. Our road are not that kind sad.gif

no need 2 change, its juz another myvi.. if wanna upgrade, better safe abit more money n buy sumthin better..

Added on October 31, 2011, 9:54 pm17s r indeed hot on a myvi, no doubt bout that.. a fren of mine fitted 17s on his, n i drool everytime i see it.. but have 2 consider weight, which sacrifices abit on FC n performance.. not 2 mention tyre cost
