Hye all,

Im gettin my myvi 1.5 by the end of this week... It's going to be White with manual transmission...

Already have a set of 15" lightweight Advanti rims that ill be pairing with the myvi. N also dropping the myvi a bit with gab sport spring + gab sport absorber... I got a great deal from rawang tyre n rim shop that they are going to buy my original rim n tires set at rm1000... Surely with rm1k can get a decent performance oriented tires to shod with the lightweight rims...

A noob question here, will changin the rim + suspension will void the warranty? As its mentioned changing the car to be other than the original will void the warranty...?

Cheers all

ikiey,

warranty on what? now think deeply and twice before you ask the next question?
thanks and regards
*
No, i mean the overall warranty...?? Engine parts, gearbox, electrical etc.... I just need confirmation, if change rim only, so, its confirm only the changed part will loose the warranty rite? Waranty on engine etc still intact??

Cuz have this theory, u face problem, then SC dun wanna provide warranty,.. The said its because the rim that lead to this n that problem... Too heavy lar, not follow spec lar...

uneven wear bcus balancing not done correctly or maybe the small metal thing inside ur rim terbang from the rim already, that leads to the wheel out of balance... Wheel not balance, tire makan tak sama, ur tyre surface jadi ombak2

My dad's 1st gen SE on average will get 16km/l based on calculation fuel to the brim - fuel level indicator blinking - fuel to the brim again with city driving and long distance traveling (note; not highway, but coastal road from klang to teluk intan with alot of traffic and pothole to avoid and braking and accelerating bcuz have large bumps that can cause car go do stunt n terbang if dun reduce speed )... Manual transmission with +/-220k km mileage odometer... Very surprised with the comparison here on the mileage u guys get from 1 tank full of fuel...

Fuel to the brim, the mileage from that myvi can go 425km on average... At one time, got 470km from 1 tank of fuel...

Auto really consume way much fuel compare with manual...??? I tout the difference is negligible...

*
Bro, this series im not sure still available or not... This is like old model... Advanti Storm series 2... Now series 4 if m not mistaken.. This rim i bought from my friend. Hes into drag, and now using regamaster. Can lift with 1 finger laaar that rim. So envy him. But design so-so only... So he sold to me very cheap this rim. Heheh...

After trade in rim and tyres still need pay rm900?
*
Yaaa Lor... I need to buy rim nuts RM80 (original to short, can cause rim to get scratch when then screw with that air gun), center cone RM80 (im too lazy to go back and ask from my friend), and becus lowering spring need to add chamber screw another RM90...

RE002 RM360 a piece = 1440 + 80 +80 +90 = 1690...... 1690-800 = RM890

If Made in japan, even more expensive... RM480 a piece... Waaaa... So crazy price... But, i'm sure my humble myvi will never get to the limit of these tyre... Actually i went to Rawang to get Federal 595 Evo, but most shop don't have this tyre. The shop that have want to trade-in my rim n tires at rm500... So, bye2 Federal... Federal 595 i think is bang for buck model..

Bro, wheel combo original rim + tires is a bit heavier compare with this rim + RE002 tires.. But not by kg difference, just few hundreds grams only (i weighted both pair while pomen do balancing on the others)... Acceleration doesn't feel heavy compare with original... But then again my myvi still below 600km, so never did full bore start go to time the 0-100 with original tire+rim...

FC im not so sure. Now only refuel once from delivery day, so cannot really measure original FC and current FC... Again, my car is below 600km, must means it consume more fuel

those 4 spokes lenzo's r pretty easy 2 get taiwan imitation ones.. but ori ones im guessin theyre gonna be pricey..
*
Bro, sure Lenso have immitation...?? Bcus Lenso is not Japanese, its from Thailand... Not sure taiwan would imitate rim such as lenso's... They might as well make replica of those expensive brands from Japan... Thailand and Taiwan quality are about the same...

I wud say, even if its from taiwan or thailand, if its of those variants which have branding, still acceptable.. Those brands also have some good manufacturing process and quality... Immitation rims that replicate other japanese design to me is not recomended for performance. It may looks the same, but nowhere as good quality. Seen this 1 RAYS replica, exactly the same looking as per original... But, check closer to the rim, notice inside the rims have like 7-8 steel plates (tampal inside of to balance the rim)...

adjustable not really expensive 1.2k+- like that
already did survey, put in 17" with 205/40/R17 tyre wont kena fender dont worry.
*
Most important thing, if u get the correct offset, then wont hit fender or inside wall... Even if u choose 15", but wrong offset, still it will scrap the inside wall or hit fender

*
Bro, my father's 1st edition SE on GAB sports absorber, cost +/- RM700, plus lower springs cost RM400, already RM1.1k... That time i bought, theres no cheap adjustable... Now have Mines adjustable, +/- RM758 only... Can adjust 4x4 height, or like DTM low... (Hehehe, sorry, exaggerate only laugh.gif ) But dunno if serviceable or not that one... ---> http://www.mudah.my/MYVI+HI+LOW+Adjustable...9233.htm?last=1

Do you mean he change the rotor or caliper. Where change? Mine is 2006 model, consider 1st batch. Apa pun tak da best.

Opss, sori, i mean change rotor only... Thicker one than original... I did it at EA auto... Bukit jalil area... Solved problem after that.. No shaking, very confidence inspiring when emergency braking..
