Maxwell, transferred to París Saint-Germain

FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to transfer Maxwell to the French club. Paris Saint-Germain will pay 4 million euros for the Brazilian fullback

FC Barcelona wants to thank Maxwell for his effort, predisposition and contribution to the team’s athletic successes during his time at the Club.

Maxwell arrived at FC Barcelona in the summer of 2009 from Inter Milan to play left back. The Brazilian has won a total of 10 titles as a FC Barcelona player in his two and a half years with the Club – three Spanish Super Cups, two European Super Cups, two League titles, two Club World Cups and one Champions League.

Gracias Maxwell!! notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

QUOTE(Adryan @ Jan 13 2012, 09:22 PM)
Why does everyone call them actors?

Maybe players like Alves and Busquets are very, very good in acting but that doesn't mean the whole squad is.

Messi is one player who i have never seen to "Cheat". He gets kicked, pushed, shoved, slapped, elbowed but he never lays on the ground, unless it is really serious. All he does is get up and run again.

I know there are videos on youtube of them "cheating" but if you notice, majority of the clips came from the same matches. Why?

Against Chelsea in 2008/2009, they had tons of penalties not awarded against them. It's stupid to say it is because Barcelona cheat. Maybe they are favoured but it is all the referee's calls and nothing to do with Barcelona.

Against Real Madrid in almost every season especially under Jose Freaking Mourinho, Barcelona players get kicked, pushed, shoved, elbowed and whatever by Real Madrid players. Obviously they would take advantage of the way Real Madrid plays. Real Madrid were playing rough just to stop Barcelona from playing their game. A bit of a ***** strategy, IMO. Something like Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup Final. Believe me, if you were playing a game and you're getting kicked, pushed, shoved, elbowed, you'd also take the chance to lay on the ground in order to get the opponent carded because you can't stand the treatment of players kicking you and referee not doing anything about it.

And regards to cheats, almost every team has them.

I am a Liverpool fan and Suarez is a great pretender. He often exaggerates contact. Gerrard himself has admitting to diving to avoid injuries.

Arsenal's Fabregas was used to said to have "dove" at times. Chelsea has got pretenders in Drogba. Real Madrid themselves got Pepe and Ronaldo. Manchester United has got Nani.

Every team has players like this and sadly, it has become part and parcel of football.

Most of your points, I've said them in LYN time and time again. But y'know, haters gonna hate. Nothing can change that.

But about the controversial Clasicos, at least Lineker and Souness agree with ya smile.gif

I agree with barca96. For me Neymar is really talented, but his work rate is shite.
I can't imagine Pep as perfectionist as he is, and how he failed with a certain Bosnian before, I don't think he won't do the same mistake again.

I don't know why I referred to his parent's nationality, maybe I was that sleepy tongue.gif Yeah I referred to Ibra.

Btw, any of you here have sympathy for this guy?

Hurm, I know I don't.

I think its not arrogant to say that it was a resounding victory for us. Although the 1-2 scoreline, we showed more desire. Higuain completely MIA, Ronaldo completely lost in 2nd half. Diarra was rendered as good as useless in the middle of our tiki taka, and finally, that guy, Pepe, did not only showed how good he is at stomping on Messi's fingers, he also showed what he's picked up from our famous divers as well smile.gif

About our side? I don't have any complain whatsoever. Perhaps Messi and Iniesta can get involved more in the 1st half, and the tempo of the team was a bit too low throughout the match, but overall great performance by the team. Congratulation for the team rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Bartomeu (vice-president): "Diving and stepping on Messi from Pepe? The referee decides, we don't have to put us in his place."

Good move mister. Yeah he is a scum, but its much easier when going up against such a brainless player anyway. Please Mou play Pepe at Camp Nou again biggrin.gif

So football is all about play acting.. and as long as I hate play acting, I don't deserve to be a football fan?

Seems legit.
*
Do you have trouble reading? Its clear as day he said diving is part and parcel of football. Uzary was maybe saying things under emotions, but its true, only noob fans will not see that all players, no matter from which league and nationality, will look for decisions from the referee favourable to his team. That's called gamesmanship.

QUOTE(barca96 @ Jan 19 2012, 02:53 PM)

Hopefully now the anti-Barca fans can see why sometimes Barca players roll around on the floor...

Dream on bro. Haters gonna hate. That's their job. They don't give a single sh!t even if they have to act ignorant and eyes closed.

Btw, Busquets sent Ozil to makan tanah rclxms.gif

Pretty sure that by now everybody already know about Rooney's tweet. Apparently Guti had his reply too laugh.gif

I laugh at Rooney. There are plenty of saints – in heaven. If he wants to be a saint, he should set an example. Making mistakes is human.

I don't know, but I see plenty of irony in this sequence of events laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Will Pepe be punish? There are lots of replay for that incident and if I remember correctly Mou said Pepe will be punish if he deliberately stamping on Messi's hand.  cool2.gif
*
I read somewhere that RFEF will only review the incident IF referee include the incident into his match report. Of course there's question that if the referee didn't spot the incident at the first place, how can he include it in the match report?

Expect this to be swept under the carpet as well.

I'm back!! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif Damn been missing Barca games and news in nearly a month doh.gif

Yesterday was the first match I watched since last time I post. And what a pedestrian performance by our team. Lets see:

Adriano was near useless on left flank, Messi showed every sign of being tired, Iniesta was not at his penetrative best, Cesc, whatever happened to his creativity? Busquets, I just heard that he had knee problems for the past 2 matches, and obviously struggled last night. Pique, Barcastuff said last night that he was left out due to technical problems, only to read later that he had a little bust up with Pep (dunno true or not). Xavi just injured himself before the game. Iniesta didn't finished the game. Pedro is still struggling with his sharpness.

The only pleasing view for me was Alexis' performance, and of course the scoreline.

Their current form is totally imperious. Honestly I can't quite see them dropping points to anybody anytime soon. Well, we will reduce the gap 3 points with Clasico win at Camp Nou later (sound arrogant eh? tongue.gif ), but we should concentrate on improving our away form.

BTW, a brilliant read into Pique's personal life (an inevitably, his relationship with Shakira thumbup.gif ):

I didnt watch this match, care to explain why pep did that to feb? Is it becoz he missed the goal scorin chance?

Guardiola: "I told him he should score more, he has the talent to do it. We're allowing all goalkeeper to shine this season."

That was Pep's explanation. It was friendly gesture for sure. Remember his slap on Abi? And Abi's revenge? laugh.gif

Naah. I believe its just their style, their way of joking around. Perhaps its a Spanish thing? Moreover, Pep's slap was absolutely nothing if compared to some of Pique's badass jokes. laugh.gif

Still the best ever player I have ever seen in my entire life at the moment.

But...but...he need to prove himself in other leagues too to be called the best ever. Should show off his stuffs in a more competitive, physical and bestest league too. brows.gif brows.gif Oh and not to forget, to perform in a cold night pitch in the Britannia stadium. laugh.gif

Btw, among barcastuff latest feeds:

Guardiola told his agent not to listen to any offer. If he doesn't renew, he'll take a sabbatical year. Inter Milan offer 20M net. [marca]

Moratti is really crazy, if the news is true of course.
