QUOTE(alvincks @ May 9 2012, 12:59 PM) Guys, Do we have chance to replace LCD TV from monitor since LCD monitor quite costly. Thanks ! tv size bigger doesnt go with better dpi (stay 1080 only) tv pixel is not optimize for text document tv only use 16-235 color gradient instead of full RGB tv must include speaker of course tv can be modified as computer monitor (like many brands doing nowadays) just up to user preference

QUOTE(mohdazuan @ Jun 1 2012, 05:19 PM) U2412M is LCD panel based on LED backlight. so it is much cooler than LCD panel based on CCFL backlight. CCFL backlight LCD panel is much cooler than plasma screen nope, dell ultra heat series 3008, 2711, 2410 all those "hot model" can stand beside plasma tv level. LED is much better choice

QUOTE(ZaX17 @ Aug 10 2012, 12:58 PM) Can I know if I connect a LED TV that available in market currently to be use as computer monitor, are they any significant difference with a monitor? Mainly I will be using for Photoshop, web surfing and gaming. Thanks. yes, but must aim for 1920x1080 a.k.a. full HD panel not 1366x768 WXGA scaling it cost higher, but u will be delight as usual, tv use 16-235 gradient vs pc 0-255 full range gradient. might need adjustment in display card if u want better colour acuracy
