How about Dell Professional model?
Dell Professional P2312H - RM539
Is it a good deal?
*
At that price, you could have gotten U2312HM for RM549 during the promo season, wait one month, they might have similar deals bumping in during Xmas

Hmm guys is P2412H considered an ultrasharp model? The specs seems quite similar to U2312HM

Edit - noticed its not an IPS panel.

I wanted to ask is there's any differences between DVI/VGA/HDMI Cables
Which is better Quality on the monitor? and Why, How, What?
*
VGA - analog signal, quality deterriorates

DVI - digital signal

HDMI - DVI + digital audio signal.

All the current IPS panel are having slower response time than TN panel. Slow response time means you might experience some ghosting especially on fast paced game like FPS.

It's not really noticeable

My office bought a workstation couple with U2312HM last week and I took a few test with my laptop (TN, LED backlit) side by side and my the U2312HM almost looks like looking at super-bright warm panel, the color is almost same as my home's 2333SW (color temperature wise) so I guess it's suffice to say that it's comparable to the older sibling U2311H, but of course the colors will definitely different even for different batches of U2311H, you need colori-meter to get them close to each other.
*
Be careful, Samsung has this 'Magic Color' technology that increases colour saturation making it look more 'beautiful' but in actual fact these colours are wildly inaccurate.

*
300 is a lot for a monitor..

The difference
U2312HM

entry level IPS

U2410
HDMI

high end IPS

The S2330MX really thin and solid, the display is very nice as well.
However, the power source is through an ac adapter, if not mistaken its a 35w ac adapter.
If the ac adapter rosak, its a bit hard to find back the exact one.
Unlike the other LCD which uses normal power cord and can be easily found in computer shop.
*
Dude, normal monitor also had ac dc adaptor, just that it's concealed inside the monitor !

Does the one inch a big different?

Any idea why the U2412M (LED backlit) is so much cheaper than the older U2410 ?

Price is 899 vs 1699, that is a BIG price differences..
*
E-IPS vs S-IPS

U2410 is still much better in terms of colour reproduction.

Hi all,

Can i know what type of 3d monitor/TV currently in the market ? The one that does not use flicker type 3d glasses, me thinks they call it polorize 3d?
I did test the flicker type and it making my head spin. rclxub.gif
*
There is only one type of 3D monitor which are those 120Hz monitor, using active shutter technology.

Basically the TV will display alternative images everh Hz, so you have 60Hz of left image, and 60Hz of right image. Then the active shutter glass will synchronize with the monitor so that when it display the right image, it blocks the left lens and vice versa, with that your brain will process a 3D image.

- unless you are talking about the red blue glass, that one every monitor also can support.

Polarized 3D is only available at cinemas. Polarized 3D works by two projector displaying image to the screen beamed at vertical and horizontal polarization. Then on your polarized 3D glass, the left glass will accept horizontal image and the right eye will accept vertical image.

Dell U2410
Contrast Ratio
1000: 1 (typical)

Contrast ratior the lower the better or higher the better ?

The higher the better. But in the first place please don't use dynamic contrast ratio for comparison.

Aiya, just noticed a stuck/dead pixel on my U2412M sad.gif... I remember there wasn't any dead pixel when it was new. Is this covered by Dell warranty? if yes I think I will wait longer then RMA it ._.

EDIT : Its a dead pixel and not covered by the warranty. Cannot do anything, need to pretend its not there lol.
*
Dell differentiates white dead pixel or black dead pixel, one of them... you can exchange even if you have one... not too sure, ask CS

Guys, my Samsung 932 monitor just died, some computer shop diagnosed that problem as faulty power supply.

What happens is each time I on the monitor, the display will show but only for 2 seconds, after that it will automatically turn off.

The shop guy said it will be too expensive to repair but I am not giving up, it's a nice monitor, so anyone knows where I can get it repaired? - need the power supply.

Cheer!
