QUOTE(KKW @ Nov 6 2011, 04:07 AM)
Yup. If you want higher model.
I would recommend you U2312HM smile.gif
*
Seems like some of you here manage to get U2312HM for RM549. Unfortunately the promotion has JUST ended.

HOWEVER, if any of you willing to help me, I can still get the U2312HM for the same price, all you need to do is to contact your sales agent and tell him you friend wants another one at the same price. It can be done because sometime ago, I helped a fellow forumer here to get U2311H at a dirt cheap price + 5 years warranty after the promotion just ended (I just got one U2311H back then). This is possible because the quotation has already been generated for you, so can just revise the quantity, but obviously the monitor will be transported separately.

So any kind soul here willing to help me out? smile.gif You can even tell your SA to give you a further RM10 discount for buying additional unit ! (I got that last time haha)

So any kind soul, please drop me a PM!

Another question, I'm actually using U2311H and I'm planning to buy U2312HM for my brother. Which is the better monitor?

Don't think I can help despite my quotation is valid until Tuesday. The sales agent has reminded me for few times already that the promotional price is effective until Saturday only.

QUOTE(KKW @ Nov 6 2011, 01:23 PM)
Well, you can ask for Icehart for help.
Since he is the person who order U2312HM model smile.gif
btw, if you want I got one more quotation still valid for U2412M with 5years warranty for RM 811

Er, I try talk to her on Tuesday  icon_rolleyes.gif
But make you got RM 600 ready because if she allow then you have to bank in to me first  tongue.gif
*
Aiks, not RM549? Or you opted in for the 5 years warranty thing.

If I were to bank in to you, then it will be delivered to your house? What if you try to ask her to raise another quotation billed directly to me, that's how I helped another forumer last time, got the deal I wanted, offer lapsed then got the SA to raise another quotation directly to the other person tongue.gif

Cause I scared if got warranty issue all, I don't want to kacau you la

Sure, let me try to talk to their manager, I got her contact as I complained to her due to my super epic long delay during my purchase of U2311H a year ago.

RM 549 with 3 years warranty but suggest you to top up extra RM 51 to get additional 2 years warranty.
*
Cool, I'm in for 5 years warranty then. If sial sial the SA cannot raise a separate quotation but allow you to modify the quantity, it's fine with me. Puchong is not too far from my area biggrin.gif

But I guess we have to contact Dell again after the initial purchase to transfer the warranty haha.

Absolutely, forget 22inch, you can even get a cheap ST2420L under RM600, or the ultrasharp U2312HM.

Check the back panel of your computer. See where the connection are connected to, is it via card slot or motherboard?
But reading that you connect through VGA give me an assumption that you are connected via onboard graphics which is why the maximum resolution is 1280 x 1024.
*
Hmm does it matter? On my laptop, I output via VGA and I still get 1920x 1080. Some say if you are using VGA, it could be the quality of the VGA cable and the VGA connectors that may reduce the resolution that can be supported. Try using the VGA cable supplied by Dell.

I tested before with VGA, 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080 also no problem.
Did you install your GPU driver properly? Try change the resolution from GPU driver/tool.
Or maybe you need to update your GPU driver.
What GPU you are running now? My old AGP 4X GPU still can display up to 1920 x 1200, no problem.
*GPU = Graphic card

DVI is little bit sharper than VGA (Digital vs Analogue).

Before I bought U2412M, I already this panel has little bit IPS glow issue. So, you mean it should has perfect black color and no "glow" at all?

Karhoe, nice setup. Why not utilize your 17" with 24" like this:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

But I think your U2312HM (16:9) cannot match align with 17" vertically (my is U2412M, 16:10)
*
That is a beautiful setup !

It's not the PC cannot support 'Dell' monitor as per se, but rather the PC not being able to churn out high resolution. Hardware limitation.

Any chance to still be able to get Dell U2311H anywhere on the market? Seems like it has already stopped being produced. And from many reviews and discussion, its slightly better than the new 2312.

I have both U2311H and U2312HM, difference is negligible.
